Great Staff, positive attitudes, fun vibes, outdoor activities, true “camp” feel

Daily activities and swimming.

My daughter love going to day camp. She went to both Camp Thunderbird and Camp Tuckahoe and always came home excited to go back the next day! Councilors all were helpful and so cheerful and nice! We can't wait for next summer to return.

They were fun and kept the kids entertained.

The councilors are amazing! Everyone always has a great attitude and the activities are engaging and fun. Love the indoor pool so that they can swim every day. Would definitely recommend to others!

Just the fact my daughter (she did both camp Thunderbird and camp Tuckahoe) loved each day only wanted to keep going during in between times. That is enough for me to be extremely please, eager to return, and extremely like to refer others to go!!

The team demonstrated strong accountability—acknowledging when something was overlooked, offering an immediate and sincere apology, and promptly correcting it. No excuses or unnecessary drama—just a clear commitment to doing the right thing once it was recognized.

Caitlyn followed up wonderfully, and the Director showed attentiveness, strong follow-through, and great listening. A thoughtful and responsive approach all around.

My daughter also shared that camp was “so much fun!” She felt seen and heard—she said the counselors were attentive and listened to her each time she brought something to them. That kind of care makes all the difference.

Kids had fun. Don’t know what exactly the activities were.

It encourages the children to work together and help one another.

My kids have really been loving this camp. Their favorite part is doing "Church Clap," whatever that means. I think it's nice that they really look up to their counselors, and they've made lots of great friends.

No complaints. The kids loved it. They are now confident swimmers.

The facilities and all the staff are amazing!!!! I’m very satisfied with the service they offer.

All the teachers were great to name a few...Kelly, Tristen, Nathan and, particularly Ms. Janae....she was excellent and always in control..great communicator! You could tell her associates respected her! We will be back next year!!!!

Friendly staff and great outside activities

I liked the staff. Some were very helpful, friendly, and reassuring. I’m happy I chose this camp because of the different activities my children experienced such as “Gaga”, archery, and swimming lessons.

I like that my daughter was active all summer, she learned how to swim and make friends

I love that there is swimming everyday. I wish the themes were actually followex more. It seemed like it was just the same everyday.

Kids had fun, good variety. I heard about some great crafts too!

My child has the most exciting times of her summer at YMCA camp. She has built many friends all over town.
YMCA's flexibility of schedules are very convenient for parents throughout the summer; whether early pickup or late drop offs, either works well on a daily basis!
