All the teachers were great to name a few...Kelly, Tristen, Nathan and, particularly Ms. Janae....she was excellent and always in control..great communicator! You could tell her associates respected her! We will be back next year!!!!

Friendly staff and great outside activities
I liked the staff. Some were very helpful, friendly, and reassuring. I’m happy I chose this camp because of the different activities my children experienced such as “Gaga”, archery, and swimming lessons.

I love that there is swimming everyday. I wish the themes were actually followex more. It seemed like it was just the same everyday.

YMCA's flexibility of schedules are very convenient for parents throughout the summer; whether early pickup or late drop offs, either works well on a daily basis!

The kids do a lot outside and you do swim lessons
My daughter was selected for a summer scholarship to camp this year. This is the first year she has been able to attend. Her confidence in swimming and other activities has shot through the roof. Im not quite sure what the "gaga pit" is, but she loves it!! It was comforting to know she was attending with some of the kids from the after-school program. I think its nice she had some familiar faces there with her. Cant thank everyone (especially Miss Kayla) enough!!

I take great comfort in the quality of staff and training for the YMCA summer camps. I trust that my child will be cared for and looked after in the YMCA environment. The staff and counselors had great communication and response time to questions throughout our week at camp. My child learned new things and had new experiences that he enjoyed. Highly recommend YMCA to anyone looking for summer camp experiences in the Greater Richmond area!
Gaga ball, swimming and meeting new friends were highlights. I liked how smooth pick up and drop off generally were. The camp counselors were great.

I like that the kids are exposed to a variety of games and crafts. They get to interact with kids all over the area and really expand their relationship building skills. It allows kids to become more confident in themselves. The staff is caring and friendly. Ms. Janae is so great!
My daughter loved the activities- especially the chance to swim each day and try new things like archery. I loved how organized and safe everything felt. Thanks!

It is well-run.
My kids have really been loving this camp. Their favorite part is doing "Church Clap," whatever that means. I think it's nice that they really look up to their counselors, and they've made lots of great friends.
