Everyone is wonderful.

A one question survey that doesn’t glean any useful information is a waste of my time and your time. I love the Y, and I would recommend it to anyone. Perhaps you should ask questions that give you more information about areas in which you need to improve. I am befuddled why you cannot keep a shower stool in the female family locker room at the Beaumont Y. I am curious as to what behavior is considered appropriate for lifeguards while they’re sitting in chairs. I am skeptical that there will be any improvement on the pool deck when you repaint it in May. I feel like these are all issues, experienced by myself as a member, that you are unaware of, and if you really listened to member issues, could improve the Y experience. I would love to have some impact on the Y that can be constructive and help improve it to be a better place than it is. But my only opportunity is the survey that really doesn’t ask good questions and doesn’t give me an opportunity to actually engage. I was excited when I saw all the signage in the lobby about “Let’s Engage”, until I realized it was just about money, not about conversations with members. This is the third version of this exact pointless survey I’ve received in my inbox.

Warm pool. Great outdoor pool in summer. The kids corner. Swimming lessons…though the times have not worked for our schedule the past many sessions.

Love Water Fitness classes in warm water and wish there were more classes available.

I like a number of things about the YMCA hours of operation, friendly staff, cleanliness of the facility, and excellent maintenance of equipment.
Some things that could be done to improve:
A men and women's rest room is needed in the workout area as one needs to go back to the locker room to pee. A quiet space is needed for members to go and stretch, do some yoga, or sit in the quiet and meditate. There are spaces that seem under utilized (room on entry level off of desk, room full of bicycles on main floor, space on lower levelr. It would be nice to have a coffee kiosk or small snack bar in the waiting area where patrons could stop, visit and chat. You meet a lot of nice folks at the YMCA and we need to start socializing again. I think it would be nice to have a few chairs about the gym to allow folks to sit and rest. These might be used to encourage people NOT to sit and yak on their cell phones while utilizing a piece of equipment. There needs to be a sign in the shower room asking people to dry off near the shower rather than move dripping wet into the locker room area and drip all over the floor

The Beaumont YMCA is the best equipt gym I've ever workout in. The very first YMCA were I was a member goes back to 1953 in Reading, Pennsylvania. That's where I learned play basketball, learned to swim, to dance , to make life long friends.

The Beamont YMCA has a program to fit everybody's needs. From pre-teen to Senior citizen,
of which I'm a member. The staff goes above and beyond to make your visit each time a pleasure, not a chore.

If you are able to donate to programs for the youth in our community, please do so you can
help kids like I was helped when I was a kid.

I love the group classes although they are getting too crowded. Can you create more like Ruth and Nicole’s? The facility is very clean. I tried Planet Fitness for a few months and I do think your equipment is better quality. I had to come back!
