The staff and members are friendly and it is the most centrally located YMCA in Metro Detroit- so very convenient to get to.
While I like Boll YMCA, paying for parking is a strain on my budget. Farmington YMCA is too far west and Birmingham Y ( so I hear) is closing soon. I hope the Metro Detroit Y execs realize what a good location South Oakland is, and support it.

Everyone is receptive and kind. I hurt my hamstring in the gym recently and the staff too good care of me, fetching ice and a wheelchair, and checking up on me until my grandson arrived to take me home. The facility is always clean and the equipment maintained. Love the Y!
