Clean and has everything to get a workout from the track, weight machines, exercise machine, pool and gym. Workers are friendly and helpful.
Freedom to simply swim laps in a clean, well maintained pool. The locker room and showers are also nice. Staff is kind and friendly.

The Downriver YMCA has a very good variety of classes for everyone! I really like the walking track and swim exercise classes! The staff is very helpful and friendly too!

Pool and senior exercise classes
The staff is very helpful and friendly. The gym is well equipped and there are an adequate amount of stations. It is very nice to look out the many windows while exercising, especially for the winter months. My son absolutely loves the zero depth entry indoor pool, I am not sure if there is another like it around. The instructor for his swim lessons is very enthusiastic and friendly. Overall a wonderful facility. The only bad thing I could possibly say is the locker room showers are a bit smelly, but it is a small downside to an otherwise excellent location.
I like the length of the track and that it's flat. Good mix of gym equipment. Pool not too busy.

It’s like family
The facility is very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere has a calming effect. The instructors are well versed in the program they are teaching. They also assist with your form yet not pushing but encouraging you to complete the process. I would definitely recommend this facility!

They make it easy for seniors on medicare advantage plans to utilize the facilities. Huge variety of exercise options. Nice walking track. Friendly and knowledgable staff.

I really enjoy the swim program at the Y because you can go into the water with your little children and participate and teach your child how to swim instead of the instructor teaching babies how to swim. The parents are more involved that way. I also enjoy how friendly everyone is while my children are at swim programs.
