People are nice and it is clean.
I live to swim. Been a member since 2003. Nice staff! I can also enjoy the walking track and a few choice weight machines.
I love the friendship I have found at this YMCA the fellow members are caring and fun in our early morning Deep water exercise class . I get good exercise and also catch up on many friends at the same time. I love it.our teacher, Nancy, is great too.

They do good
The senior classes provide needed exercise for the older generation as well as a social experience. Monday has improved from the initial startup. Wednesday is the muscle workout needed to keep the body muscles stimulated. Thursday class works out all the stiffness from Wednesday class and Friday class is the icing on the cake rounding out a full week of exercise.
The building is beautiful with lots of light from the outdoors. It has an outdoor pool. Lots of open space. Nice arena space with no doors to open and plenty of seating.

The "Y"
I ama regular user/ member of the Downriver Y, Southgate Mich. The staff has always been helpful, appears smiling and shows genuine interest in whatever I may question or request. The facility is clean and well monitored.
I primarily use the pool as my excersice is designed to improve overall health and accomadate a lower back weakness/ condition.
The locker room and shower area is great.
Activities
I really like the accessibility to various activities, classes and especially the water exercise classes! Love the front desk staff! They are always very helpful!
We love being able to take kids to pool, child care so we can work out in gym, and the youth programs. It's reasonably priced for now, so we really enjoy having it.
