The stability class with Cindy at Milford Y is an excellent instructor. The Senior Zumba is a great class for different movements ( side to side. forward backwards) & can get your heart rate up. For all ages. Have met people who are great. Social part is great.

Working out at the Y has been a great experience. The front desk is friendly and always greets me as I enter. Great classes. I love Zumba, Dance Fitness and Yoga. The atmosphere is friendly and kind. Thankful to be a member!
My kids absolutely love their homeschool classes at the y.
I especially like the Zumba Gold classes but the 8:30 starting time does not work for me so I have been going to Dance Fitness on Wednesdays instead. Dance Fitness is a bit too fast paced for me, but the time frame works better for me so hopefully I will get better at following along the longer I go to that class, and then enjoy the class more. I am determined to stick to it.
On Mondays my husband and I have been going to Body Pump which we feel has helped us to regain strength that we were losing as we have aged into our 70s. It is also challenging (more so for me than for my husband) but Al, the instructor, encourages us to do what we can and challenge ourselves as we feel ready. I am going to do my best to stick with this as well.
We both wish that Body Pump had an additional instructor that could walk around and point out when we are doing things incorrectly. We did not go to class this morning because my husband has had pain in one shoulder ever since last Wednesday's class (which he attends while I am in Dance Fitness), and we are wondering if he did something incorrectly that day. We are hopeful that we will both be able to return to Body Pump and Monday.
I appreciate the classes directed to seniors, but there is something for all ages at Carl's YMCA.
I love the fitness classes at the Y! The instructors are fantastic and give many options for all fitness levels. They offer a nice variety of classes! The socializing with all the other ladies in class is very motivating as well. Have made so many new friends at the Y!

Our local YMCA (Carls Family Y) is a wonderful resource for our community. Great facilities and programs: swim lessons, group exercise classes, lots of equipment for individual workouts, unique programs for people of all ages. However, I think that its best feature is the warm and welcoming environment!
