Its great to walk to if you live downtown. Otherwise not best location.
Friendly staff!
People are nice and it is clean.
Very friendly and helpful staff!
The classes and the staff.
Friendly people working and working out. Good variety of machines, weights, pools, and gyms!
It’s a well equipped place to work out
A great place with a great staff running it! I have, I believe , had approximately 7-8 people from Huntington Woods join. There is no room, but if the new one is ever built, I think a SENIOR room lounge with a coffee machine and a large flat screen tv would be a game changer. Speaking of TV, we need to have a choice of Fox news and CNN available on the treadmills and other machines who get tv. By having those two channels you would eliminate any political issues etc. Also, closed captions should be on all the channels and not just 1! You definitely and have a strong community feeling amongst the patrons who come to the Royal Oak Y. Keep up the great job!

People, classes and instructors, staff
The people at the Y make the difference, always helpful and always keep the facility running smoothly. Great place to workout! Thank you all for what you do, you are all greatly appreciated.
The staff and facilities are great. Just one request, please. In the past, they used to inform us via email if there was a pool closure. Not anymore. Why not ? I'd like to be informed. Thank you.
Love the facility, the pools, the staff!
The many programs offered, but I'm REALLY upset that the facility will be closing. WHY did you sell the land and leaving many members no where to go and swim. Also where are all the kids going to go for the wonderful summer programs.
Great facility and good people.
Friendly helpful staff. Great classes. Clean and modern workout equipment.
Many of the instructors are welcoming and friendly. The classes are health oriented and taught by skilled and experienced instructors. Classes are really geared to getting people good exercise experiences. Different and not run of the mill old time routines. I have learned so many different versions of exercises. There is something for everyone.m
I live to swim. Been a member since 2003. Nice staff! I can also enjoy the walking track and a few choice weight machines.
Luv Cindy's AOA class just waaaay too much marching. Maybe cut that back so she can do weights, etc without running out of time. Warming up and stretching would be better before all the marching.
I love the friendship I have found at this YMCA the fellow members are caring and fun in our early morning Deep water exercise class . I get good exercise and also catch up on many friends at the same time. I love it.our teacher, Nancy, is great too.
I like best the friendly staff and the variety of programs the Y offers
The Birmingham YMCA is welcoming, friendly, courteous and a great facility to visit and work out. I have been able to lower my A1c through daily workouts and find this facility to be easy to attend and has become part of my daily routine.
Thank you Birmingham YMCA.
