The YMCA staff does an outstanding job. Great pool and other facilities.
Everyone is so friendly welcoming and inviting
I LOVE all the classes
Very friendly staff and always something going on for kids of all ages. and the best pool around!
Nice place
Carl’s Family Y is welcoming and friendly — always! I’ve been a member for 18 years and have enjoyed the classes I’ve taken and the people I’ve met there. Ellen Gelerman’s Zumba Gold class is the best!
I like the quiet fitness center. The weight and exercise equipment is kept in good repair. The temperature in the fitness center should be kept on the cool side.
I really enjoy the yoga flow class on Monday evenings. Good stretching in a warm and friendly environment.
I like the family feeling of our Y. I do wish that emails or texts could be sent out as soon as the Y knows they have to cancel a class. it is very frustrating to bring all my gear to the Y only to find the class was cancelled.
Otherwise the staff are great from the front desk, to instructors, even housekeeping.
Difficult question.
Physical aspects including some of the most ’state of the art’ exercise equipment, great gym, walking track, beautiful pool, list goes on.
The Community Spirit and atmosphere in the Wellness Center & Classes eclipses physical stuff.
SOY has So much more than above.
The people on Staff are on key and make the Y a great choice.
Yeah, difficult question - so I won’t answer it.
Regards
I love the classes, fitness center, pool, staff, etc. The friendliness of everybody,
socialization, financially helping those in need with scholarships, and so much more.
People, classes, instructors
Everything is always kept clean, the staff is always very friendly and seem happy to be there, the gym is well taken care of by staff and members, a overall friendly and comfortable environment.
I enjoy my water exercise classes very much. Staff are usually friendly and helpful.
I am concerned about the upcoming changes to using the lanes in the lap pool. Until now, I have been able to reserve a lane for use prior to the water class, which I use for walking and light exercise, warming up for class. The new guidelines about "circle swimming" do not appear to accommodate what I call "pool walkers", of whom there are several. As well, there are swimmers who do a mixture of swimming laps and exercising, also not being accommodated.
The current reservation practices have been in place since re-opening after Covid closures and, as far as I can tell, have been successful in allowing for varied uses of the pool. I am EXTREMELY CONCERNED that changes are being made arbitrarily, without the input of everyone who has been using the lanes for the past 5 years. I don't feel current management is looking at the big picture nor the needs of all members.
Erica is an awesome Bodypump instructor.
Isaac is wonderful and patient with Water Fitness.

Daytime classes for older adults. Friendly staff!
The front desk staff are always friendly, energetic, and helpful. I love the vibe in the Y - a place for kids, families, adults, and more. It truly feels like a community space. I absolutely love the ceramic series - Jess is AMAZING! She needs a raise! I love that the Y understands that adults need (and want) creative outlets and works to serve the whole person. I hope the future holds more art/creative type classes.
My son can play with his friends and I can work out.
