The facilities and the staff.
The Y has a variety of activities and equipment to meet my needs and desires for exercise. Between opportunities for individual, small group and larger group scheduled exercises, there is something for everyone. I especially like the EGym, a set of equipment that individually sets resistance levels for short exercise reps.
The employee is very knowledgeable about the activities at y.
Friendly staff, variety of programming, clean

I recently joined the Royal Oak Y since the Birmingham Y was closed. I found the people very welcoming and friendly.. I mostly participate in water aerobics and sometimes the Friday Active Adults. Thanks for your welcome.

Pool is not too busy, free classes

My Y experience has been very good, except when it isn't. It's really good when the Roberson pool is open and Lisa can have her exercise classes. It's not good when there aren't enough lifeguards and the therapy pool is closed. I realize management is trying very hard to secure lifeguards and it's become more difficult when some lifeguards have gone back to school. Hopefully, the situation will change for the better soon.
One more comment is regarding the schedule in the Y app. It is confusing and often not updated.
I love all the activities offered and all the different times you can pick from. The facility is clean. The workers are very pleasant and informative.

I specifically come to the Farmington location for the pool. I like that they offer large windows for lap swimming throughout the week and that there are several available lanes.
