It’s a great community place with a lot of good programs, and the gym isn’t too crowded. The people there are friendly. The staff are very helpful. It’s an all around great atmosphere and they have flexible pricing.
The staff are friendly, there are many options for classes like pottery and the pool is magnificent!

My child is just so well taken care of. He is so tired by the end of the day I know hes having fun! I love that they go outside so often.

The commitment and attention provided by this organization shouldn't go unnoticed. The YMCA staff and representatives are living up to the YMCA's reputation of it's dedication to the community. Keep up the good work and continue being the light at the end of the tunnel and village we all need.
The Front Desk Staff were very courteous and helpful. Mary Sholds is a vital member of that branch. all members coming in seemed to recognize each other and for a city Y, had a community feel!

As I've said in the past, the Salem Y is a friendly and quiet Y. Small and older, it is not as crowded and busy as some of the other Y's on the Northshore. I appreciate those qualities. I only go to the Y to swim laps, and I am gratified that i can always get a lane and swim alone as I have difficulty sharing a lane. The lifeguards are friendly and helpful as are the reception staff and administration. The locker room is clean and well cared for and I appreciate the sauna as well.
Excellent adult ballet class
I love the community of the Y and my view of it: the retirees who come during the day, esp to the MWF aqua exercise classes with Pauline. The social side if important (and special praise to Pauline for putting up with the noise!) and the exercise if important: you get out what you put into this class!
Sauna well maintained
It is a good value for the money. I also like supporting a local non profit.
I am likely to recommend the Salem Y because it is laid back and the employees are nice. It's also quiet there
