Well set up facilities for every activity that I could think of. Friendly, helpful, competant staff. In addition, the facilities are clean. The building is something of a rabbit warren, with twists and turns leading to an oportunity to be damp, dark and unpleasant. It is not; some places are a little confusing to get to, but the signs are adequate.

All in all, the Salem YMCA is set up for the things that I am looking for.

I recommend a YMCA membership because it truly feels like a safe and welcoming space for everyone. It has a very family-oriented atmosphere, with activities for both kids and adults, which makes it easy to stay active together. The environment is fun, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Even the people who come here regularly create a positive, supportive community that makes you feel comfortable every time you visit.

There is a variety of classes depending on your personal goals and it's nice to see your neighbors while exercising.

Always have gone to the YMCA's. The one I go to has a large variety of classes the weight room has all the necessary equipment and more. The changing room has a sauna and steam room and a good number of shower stalls and changing rooms. They also have a day care center and a good amount of metered parking and in downtown so stores and food nearby.

The Salem YMCA is a convenient location for my exercise floor workouts. I also appreciate the outreach efforts that the Y makes for the local community.

Fair choice of classes & great to be able to participate with other network YMCAs. Parking is not good especially in Summer thru November with tourists. There should be a way to discount for patrons…residents should come 1st before tourists

Great classes, great instructors! I can walk there almost any time of day and get a lane in the pool, or find a class I can join. I have met many people who are wellness-minded like me, and we share workout tips and schedules. Staff is welcoming and helpful. It could not be easier.
