The team at Camp Elm have fun activities that conclude on Fridays. My kids come home talking about the fun activities and all the events they look forward to on Fridays.
The staff at the Haverhill YMCA are all fantastic!
My don is super excited for his first field trip today. He was also excited to see Bashley who ran his camp program last year. He loves interacting with both kids and staff and I appreciate that staff take the time to hang out with the kids and converse.
My daughter is a very sensitive child and takes many things personal even if it’s not related to her. There has been a couple of days where she has not wanted to go to camp for one reason or another and we’ve shown up at the door with her in tears and each time Mrs Sherry has taken the time to not only calm my daughter done but took the time to listen to any concerns. I would absolutely recommend the Haverhill ymca 10 out of 10.

My 6 year old has been learning independence separate from her siblings. Sge is learning how to be a good friend as well. She is loving her camp time.
my son has really enjoyed the couple of camps that he has done, including Camp Elm, Camp Tricklin' Falls and the cooking camp at Gateway.
My 12 year old son has been attending summer camp at camp trickling falls almost every year but one since he was younger and he loves the staff and activities that they have for the kids to keep active and cool with the lake on site. He enjoys meeting up with the previous years friends and making new friends. I am very pleased with the knowledge and training of the staff at camp and at the Haverhill location. I couldn't ask for or even want anything more from the the Haverhill YMCA, I am very happy with the care they provide to my child.
The experience for me as a parent has been outstanding. The overall experience has run very smoothly due to the enhanced day to day communication and transparency between Sherry Freeburn and parents, she is truly amazing. Prior to Maddox starting camp, the staff contacted me to make sure his individual needs would be met and they absolutely have been. Maddox comes home daily to tell me about all the fun activities he did throughout the day and how "creative and crafty Ms. Sherry is". This will be the second year Maddox has attending this program and the experience this year has exceeded expectations. All of the staff have been so kind and I cannot thank everyone enough for all they have done for not just Maddox but me as well!
It has good equipment & some good classes
Coach Julia and Coach Tina are so great with these kids, and they also structure the class in a way where I truly feel they’re teaching my daughter about more than just the basics of swimming - they incorporate water safety, etc. - which obviously makes me feel good as a mom. Additionally, they are both able to explain strategies to parents in such a helpful way - the purpose of “pass the fishy,” for example. We’ve been lucky enough to have them two sessions in a row and my fingers are crossed we’ll get them again in the fall!
The program seems to be very engaging. The kids enjoy having time learning and doing academics but also love being able to go to camp and doing fun activities also learning new skills. The staff is great and does a good job with the students.

I like that its not a full day of straight academic they incorporate arts and craft and different activities
Communication outreach has been very good (meet and greet nights, emails, etc.). Whenever an issue has come up, staff has been very accommodating. And of course our daughter is having fun!

Angie is having a fantastic time at Bradford el and at Camp Trickling falls. Everyday she is excited to tell me what she did. I appreciate the program. My only wish was that my 9 year old daughter could have joined also.
The kids learn about tools to read but also get to enjoy the outdoors and activities.
