I love the Y! My favorite things about it are the amount and variety of the classes - I always go to yoga and the teachers are AMAZING and massively helped me heal after Covid; I'm very thankful for them. I also like how friendly the staff is, how clean it is, and that it seems like the management is always striving to make improvements and add fun things to the schedule. I especially love the extra classes for kids - like the reptile one in Gloucester - as well as other further education classes like the recent meditation one and the outdoor yoga classes coming up. Overall, I think that both the Gloucester and Beverly Y's (which are the 2 I often visit) have significantly changed the towns for the better; they've created a real community and the buildings are so beautiful that it makes everyone want to go there - it's awesome! Thanks for running such a wonderful business.

Offers many different kinds of exercise options, cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff.

The Cape Ann Y is well run, very clean, and has a lot of high quality exercise equipment. I really like the Y and visit about 6 days a week. The Y has been instrumental in my recovery from open heart surgery.

I can suggest two improvement opportunities:

1. Add a couple more recumbent bikes (there are currently four facing the windows.). They are often busy.
2. The men’s locker room is very tight and crowded at times. More full sized lockers are needed.

The staff are kind. The pool is clean. The fitness facilities, including swim classes, are extensive and well organized. Wi-Fi is free and so it’s a nice place to work. Gloucester Crossing is a great location.

I am happy to have a local gym with so many options.
I am somewhat annoyed when instructors/coaches shorten a class because
1. only 3 people are in the class
2. it's nice out
3. so the instructor/coach can attend another class

A 45 minute class is short enough.
I haven't even been to that many classes so I am surprised by that I have had 3 classes shortened.

Your leaders are awesome and really make my son feel welcome and valued (special shout out to Michael at the Rockport program, who has been excellent this year). The deliberate recognition of good behavior/kindness, through Caughtcha cards, is impactful! This year I have really appreciated the enrichment activities that have been included in the vacation week programs (Curious Creatures and the Katy and the Big Snow performance). I love that my son gets to interact with kids from different grades (during the after-school program) and with kids from different towns/schools (during the vacation week program). And I love that he spends time outside as the weather allows.
