It’s clean, new, and has programs for everyone!
I love the Gloucester Y and am there six days a week, swimming & working out on the weights and equipment. I’ve been a lap swimmer for decades, and this is the best pool that I’ve ever swum in. Everybody is very courteous and friendly in the pool is very, very clean and well taken care of. The exercise area is outstanding.
Also, there is plenty of parking and in these brutally cold days of winter that’s so important.
My only suggestion to make it even better would be to put the pool up 2°. There are a lot of senior citizens and it being that cold when you first go in is not heart healthy. Otherwise, I only have positive comments.

It’s clean and it offers a wide variety of classes.
Every person we have interacted with is friendly and welcoming. There is a wide selection of classes and excellent equipment. The building itself is clean, sunny (plenty of windows) and the pool is great.

The Gloucester YMCA is a beautiful space w/ solid infrastructure, friendly staff and a varied inclusive member base. Awesome place to exercise - I recommend it to others ALL THE TIME!

The staff is incredibly helpful. The fitness areas are very clean, with good lighting and so open that they never feel crowded.

We have a great YMCA in our community!
Friendly reception at the front and again at the workout desk upstairs. Also, a great Yoga Basics class with Steve L.--a kind, experienced instructor who made everyone feel welcome.

Variety of equipment and classes available, plenty of cardio equipment so that something is always available even when the gym is busy. I love the option of Y360 that I can use when I can’t make it to the Y in person.
I am enjoying learning all the machines, the activities, and feel better each time I exercise there.

Aside from a great facility, you practice genuinely good and sensible American values. You refuse to give even lip service to the perverse LGBTQ+ insanity that is so destructive to the health of children and youngsters that has actually infiltrated other health clubs. Your staff exercises good personal judgment handling things, including finances. You seem to have focused genuinely on what helps people of all sizes, shapes and types to be healthier in the widest sense without falling pray to the DEI inanity and lies. You have an impressive and remarkable culture and your leadership deserves the highest congratulations.
