Excellent class offerings
My daughter loves the cheer program.
The coaches are amazing. They are so good with the kids especially ones that have never cheered before. They are instructional and patient.
It's great! There's a variety of things to do for all ages for relatively cheap prices.
The structure of this program is just what our child was looking for when we joined in 2022. Since then we have learned a lot along the way and have felt supported by the coaching staff. Our middle child is following in his big brother’s footsteps as he joined the pre-team this fall, and we continue to feel that this program is a good fit for our kids providing them a structured athletic program that is both challenging and fun.
Access, compassion, caring
The facilities are generally clean and the people are nice. I’d give it a 10 but the weight room is sometimes overcrowded, and sometimes overrun with teenagers. I also appreciate the seemingly painstaking efforts staff have gone through to accommodate the pickleball community - I’d play more if there were more evening times, but understand you have other activities to schedule. Thanks for providing important services to our community.
Great facility and staff
Cheering with North Shore Elite is a life highlight for my daughter. Not only is she engaged in a sport that she loves, she is breaking through limiting beliefs, connecting with a diverse range of people, and being encouraged and supported in all areas of her life. This is her 5th year with NSE and I recommend it to friends ALL the time (some of who have children in the program now)
Great place to swim and the swim team opportunities and practice for the kids are great.
More coaches would be better with maybe smaller groups with each coach and have a skill station at each of the side rims. And spend more time on shooting dribbling and other basketball skills .

My son had a lot of fun in the Y and that make him progress. Now he askin me to participate in more programs.
We love Laura Downs, Sports Director! Just fabulous, runs great programs, so encouraging of kids and sportsmanship.
My son enjoys the variety of sports played in the Sports Mania classes.
We love the Kiwanis basketball program and all the club mid sports activities. Our kids love going and participating.

The basketball league is great and the rules/setup is the perfect age appropriate approach to learning the game.
On a separate note: the new registration system doesn’t seem to show offerings for the upcoming season pre-registration which makes it extremely difficult for families to plan.
We are currently doing the winter basketball league for my sixth grader. They’re having a lot of fun and learning great skills,. I plan to sign my sixth and eighth grader up for spring basketball with the Y as I did last year it was a great experience.
My granddaughter, Ravyn Chouinard , has been participating in the Junior Celtic basketball program with coach Matt. She absolutely loves it! Very appropriate for her age level.We are so impressed with the enthusiasm and coaching skills but most of all how engaged the children are.

Nice facility
I’m benefitting from my membership already.
It is reasonable pay and a good place to work out. There are many classes that are fun to exercise.
We love the Y! "Mr. Tom" is so patient with our boys at swim lessons, and we are also enjoying the gymnastics program. Everyone at the Kids Club is wonderful and kind. I am enjoying the yoga classes on Saturdays and getting back into working out.
While I have someone's ear:
On weekends with a big swim meet, it might be useful have an employee stand near the entrance and actually ask people if they are there for the meet/direct them over to Next Generation. This past Saturday, parking was packed to the brim at 9am, and many more cars were jammed up in the parking lot waiting for spaces....Also, there is often a waiting line for the treadmills; I wasn't able to get one the last time I came in despite trying several times.
