The Y meets all my needs for both exercise and fun. Pickleball.
Seven words:
QUALITY, FRIENDLINESS, KNOWLEDGE, HELPFULNESS, RESPECT, CLEANLINESS, VALUE -
all the shining traits that make up a thriving community environment in its management, staff, members and facility. I don't know of any volunteers, but it you have them, I would assume they would also carry the same attributes... or you wouldn't have them represent the organization.
Only thing I wish was different, as do others:
Go back to staying open to 10:00pm. 9:00 closing is too early for evening and pool workouts. Losing that extra hour makes a big difference in losing the forward momentum in fitness that evening users used to rely on. In other words, we can't fit as much in and our workouts suffer.
Please go back to 10pm.

I'm likely to recommend the Y because:
1. It's a beautiful spacious and clean facility
2. Equipment is available when I am 4:45am until
3. Reliability of facility and employees
4. Environment is expansive, with excellent natural lighting in the cardio area with a beautiful setting year-round to absorb during my daily 45 minute cardio exercise
5. High value for the dollar
6. Serves the entire community; not just the wealthy or the young
7. I enjoy the other patrons...
8. It's 5 minutes drive from my home
9. The Y is as serious about creating the right environment to exercise in as I am to use it
10. Competitive options are not convenient
Variety of classes and times. Very much enjoy pickleball. Clean and very friendly atmosphere. Staff very approachable and eager to help.
The Beverly YMCA has a welcoming friendly atmosphere! There is a variety of challenging fitness classes that keep members motivated and focused on a healthier lifestyle.
When most afterschools are closed YMCA is open, enabling me to work. The staff is awesome. They truly take the time to understand my children.
The Y is a great spot. My only complaint is when they close for the whole day on certain holidays. Instead of closing for the entire day., open early and close at 1200 p.m.

The staff really engage the kids in lots of activities. The hours are flexible and allow for parents to work an 8-10 h day. The prices are affordable.

Friendly staff, clean facility, good programs. very glad outdoor classes are resuming! How about a women on weight class outside? Later in the day? And I really like the 360.
Gymnastics, gross motor room, lots of walks, and the binder we get at the end of the school year with all the art work and photos.
The staff are all wonderful! They treat your child like their own! They are always happy and welcoming, even at pickup- 5:30PM when they want to get home to their own families!

I feel my child is safe, has opportunities for enrichment, has structure, is motivated to complete her homework, and enjoys going to the after school program.
We love the all the ELC teachers and staff - they are so friendly and are more like extended family to our kids. We also love how the Y ELC integrates sports, yoga, gymnastics and swim into their daycare programs.
