Great staff, plenty of equipment.
There are usually enough machines so that there is not a long wait to use them. One problem is that often folks sit on the machines and use their cell phones. Maybe a few chairs around the edges and signs asking folks to use their phones on these chairs vs the machines would help.
Friendly and professional staff. Clean facility
Friendly staff, great machines and plenty of work out options ex. Swimming, yoga, cardio classes!!!

enjoy the multiple indoor pools
Out of all the y's in the area I love yours the most.
It has something for everyone and is a first class organization that is very responsive to its members. It continuity tweaks the offerings to stay up to date and meet changing times and demands. .
The Y has everything I need and the people that work there are fantastic and know what they are doing
I love how much time the kids spend outside at Sterling Woods, and that they spend time in the real woods. There are lots of different activities (high ropes, low ropes, boating, STEAM, swimming EVERY day) that set Sterling Woods apart from other camps and even other Y camps in the area.
The staff also have very low turnover (lots of returning staff every summer), and they are excited to see returning kids year after year which helps so much with transitions.
Friendly staff and convenient hours

Not too expensive, nice variety
Large facility with lots of fitness options. Great pool!!
I love the Y It offers a wide variety of healthy activities and in Salem has a great level of cultural diversity
The curriculum was great. Staff was friendly and most important they focused on the students and not on devices or chatting. We only had three classes due to late sign up and can’t wait to come back!
We loved parent/child gymnastics at Beverly, however during the Summer it was difficult to keep the younger children out of the way of all of the girls and boys in the Summer camps ! They would often run straight through the areas the littlest ones were in and use the equipment the children were being told to stay off of even if it wasn’t something their camp was currently working with. I just hope that maybe there could be a more organized or designated path to allow all camps access to the opposite side of the gym without cutting straight through the little kids. My daughter was run into by a younger girl about 12 years old and while no harm no foul accidents happened— the older girl had cut straight through the area that the teacher had told us to be in with our own children. We loved our experience overall and will be back !
I love that everyone is encouraged to play because it is community-based. It’s a great place to learn more about a sport ♥️
Great instructors

Mixed age groups allow me to get my 3 and 5.5 year old in the same class
Awesome teachers!
Mr. Thomas was a great teacher!
Friendly staff got grandkids used to being in the water. No swimming skills yet but good foundation.

the instructors are so great, we are so happy to know them.
I believe Bea (Mia?) and Thomas are our main instructors but there are one or two others whose names I forget and they are also great.
