Members are most likely able to find programs and activities of interest. If not, program and activity recommendations made to the staff are welcomed. Staff & personnel are always responsive, friendly, courteous, and eager to please which means the Geauga Y is a great place to be. Walk in with a frown? Walk out with a smile!
Thank you for all you have done during the Covid crisis. I have been apprehensive about coming to the Y but have taken advantage of the videos. Also thanks to Diane for facilitating the vaccine with Geauga Public Health.
Only use pool
Fitness and friendly atmosphere!
It's a great way to get a full body workout. People are friendly, Employees keep things sanitized. What's not to like?
Love the pool and classes
Just having an Olympic size pool is great. Also, a nice variety of classes....something for everyone

I want to compliment you on the very well-organized Covid Clinic held on March 3rd. My husband and I were impressed with the efficiency and friendliness of the staff, both from the Y and the County. All functions went quickly and smoothly while observing the necessary Covid public protocols. Nicely done!
Things for seniors.
I like the variety of choices of activities and the flexible scheduling. If I have questions or need help, someone is always available to answer them or to assist.
The water
In the winter it is friends, movement, light, music, and health.
They are getting this senior citizen moving again in a safe manner!

The water department is wonderful.
locker rooms need to be cleaned better and lockers, people are breaking off the zip ties on lockers and putting locks on them. need to be bolt and a nylon lock nut put on!!!!!!!!

Pool
I believe my ymca did everything they could to keep the facility open and still be safe. I felt safer at the ymca than anywhere else in the community while running my day to day errands. Sanitizer wipes readily available, and people using them, never felt like I was running a risk by using the facility, was happy it stayed open. Recovering from knee replacement surgery, and I really needed to do my leg exercises.
Zumba classes!
We appreciate the family focus and the variety of swim and gym go together. I appreciate their effort to adjust and stay open for workouts. Thank you!
Very clean safe facility
Enjoy the pickleball activity an exercise facility. Staff is friendly and take Covid precautions seriously. Feel sorry for the staff that is constantly cleaning exercise equipment. The geuaga facility appears to be well managed.
Although we have not been there in almost a year because of our vulnerablities, we hope to return soon with our vaccines done. We have enjoyed the Silver Sneaker classes via Zoom while not attending in person.
We have been members since it opened. We have always enjoyed the variety of classes, equipment available and the pool. We are so thankful for the congenial staff who are always more than willing to help whether it is to answer a question or instruction on using machines.
I highly recommend the Geauga Y for exercise and to improve health. I can't wait until we can again socialize at the Y with fellow members.
