Great instructors and program coordinator.
My children haven't had much swimming experience and in the one month that we've had a family Y membership both of my kids have really improved their abilities. Moving "home" from growing up overseas my kids have had a lot if stress and big culture shocks. Coming to the Geauga YMCA has taken away a lot of their stress, given them a fun and exciting activity (swimming) they normally have zero access to, and they've developed water confidence. They're proud of their achievements. We have received some swimming lessons and helpful swimming advice from the staff. It's made all the difference to our transition back to the States. This YMCA is lovely, clean, open, well lit, there are family changing rooms, and friendly staff. I can't say enough good things about this YMCA!

Senior program
Its a laid back workout place. Lots going on if you want to sign up for things. They are always adding new things to the schedule and they try to accomodate everyone.
I have not been coming often. I recently returned to water aerobics class on Monday with the instructor Joy. It was great. Joy is a enthusiastic and good instructor.
love the pool and hot tub !! Zumba classes are really fun .( need more days at the Geauga Y ) Love that you have child watch.
All the instructors and backup people I've come in contact with know their jobs and do it
well.
The swim classes and weight classes are excellent, and the instructors are very pleasant.
I take several swim classes and they are in desperate need of the larger noodles.

They have a wide variety of activities for just about any level of fitness and all the instructors that I have encountered have been wonderful helpful understanding to make sure that you get the best workout possible
Pickleball is good. Not all players paid to play.
While on the cycling machine I had the opportunity to observe the lady disinfecting the machines after being used by others. Zip Zap all done. Someone needs to teach this young lady.

We have to share 3 lanes with some members who do not want to share. One lady was an angel and she bbn is in my prayers.
The variety of classes and the gym equipment available
The pool is a lifesaver.

The children's group swim classes have been absolutley amazing. They are age appropriate and my kids are now safe and confident in the pool.

Exercise
I like the variety that is available and the instructors. I do feel that the management in the Chardon YMCA is responsive to the concerns of members. Kudos for working with the Geauga Health Dept. to provide COVID innoculations.

I like that you have finally lowered the mask restriction when exercising. I have many friends who will not come to the Y because you are so restrictive.

THe site is spotlessly clean. Very important.
I like the instructors. Caring. They love to be there and it shows. Good assortment of programs. Work out room is very diversified and kept in good shape.
Locker rooms and pool are are clean and there is usually ample room.
