I only use it for the pool
The SCI-FIT machines. With 3 joint replacements, this is the reason i am still walking. My physical therapist says, she wishs they had one at her facility. Thankyou for the SCI-FIT machines.

I have not utilized my Kingwood Y membership as much as I would like. My life situation has changed. I am spending a lot of my days in The Woodlands due to helping my daughter with childcare. I am going to the Shadowbend Y location during the week.
I have attended a Body Pump class with Ellen which enjoyed very much. I also enjoy reading about the many Forever Well activities which I hope to one day participate in them.

Aqua Zumba is really cool and well attended.
I love the amazing staff. They are so friendly and helpful. The equipment is well maintained and the atmosphere is pleasant. I love the group class instructors especially Ginger, Ellen, Caryn, Danielle, Elfi, and the newest addition Mandy. They are all great!
The friendly people and upbeat environment at the Lake Houston YMCA always make me feel welcome and valued! I consistently come away feeling much better than when I arrived - both physically and emotionally. The Y offers so many different programs and activities, that there's something for every interest and ability level. (It's a judgment-free zone!) My grandchildren play basketball and swim. My daughter can drop them off for a parents' night out. And I have my senior programs to keep me healthy into old age - not to mention other senior activities, like a recent full-day outing to Camp Cullen for canoeing, archery, zip line, dining, dancing, and much more. And I'm looking forward to an up-coming day cruise on a big-wheel paddle boat! My membership really is a great opportunity to stay active and make friends.I can't recommend it enough!

We love the community and the camaraderie that the Y provides. We love that it is family-friendly. We love that it has something for everyone in our family. Our family has belonged to the Y for more than 10 years and it has become our second home here in Kingwood. We are truly grateful for the Y.

I like the active older adult programs. I like the combo classes. I like late morning classes. I wish there were more classes during the late morning or afternoons.

I love the water exercise and water Zumba classes. I do not like the Monday class with the older lady. She cannot stay on track and confuses everybody and she does her workouts to 2 counts and it’s impossible to keep up with her. She has aged out of her job unfortunately.
Very friendly staff. Lifeguards are very professional. Ease of working in the pool at a variety of hours.
