I love the 8:30 am Saturday Body Attack class
The temperature of the rec pool is perfect for me. I love being able to do my water walking at 7:00 am and then have the rest of my day for my other activities. I love it when you can consistently maintain a schedule for the pool to be open so that I can make plans that include using it. The pool is the main reason I come to the Y. It’s the best pool in Houston. Because water walking is my main exercise, not having enough life guards during the school year has meant that I don’t keep up my healthy routine to exercise at all. Yes, I could do other forms of exercise, but I usually stay home and sew instead.
Like the swimming classes for my child, but I would like more times options.
The pool I just wish it was open longer hours the Friday stretch class. I love it, but I wish you had one during the week starting at 1 o’clock.
Everything & staff
Thanks for getting the cable tv s
Back up & running!
It took couple of weeks but finally working. Took lot of compliments to staff but finally Up and running!
This is a key component to my success as it is on the way home and very easy to get to . I can work on my professional sports career at any time here and I enjoy the quite clean and friendly environment.
Everyone is very knowledgeable, courteous and respectful to one another and to all the patron that attend the different activities that are provided.
Gym space and equipment set up is good, few breakdowns not fixed but overall good set up. I would expect more staff supervision to ensure good discipline and cleanliness in the gym space.
I can spend 2-3 hrs in this set up and get an excellent work out session.
Bus trips are fun, more activities for seniors are always a plus.

Everyone is so nice, including Ricky, the manager.
I like the variety, especially cardio and dance classes.
Going to the YMCA 3 times a week keeps me active and socially connected. The instructors are engaging and make sure you are doing your exercises correctly. It is a great YMCA.
Enjoy bike classes

I like the times the classes are given, the selection of classes available, and the instructors. Staff are always welcoming and cheerful. Instructors watch and try to help everyone have a good time while keeping them safe during the exercises. This Y is a win-win for everyone!! Good job.
swimming, basketball, class for adults and the gym
I love the swim excerise classes instructors are fun and people are friendly.
I would very much like to see Yoga classes offered during the day and not so early.

Like the family-oriented programs available at the Y. Childcare makes fitness for parents possible...sort of like giving Mothers and father 5 minutes peace. It is a children's book. A good one.
The pools are nice, but the scheduling system is chaotic, due to lifeguard issues. The pools are clean and the lifeguards seem to be committed to swimmer safety.
The fitness equipment is top-drawer. The problems are the usual: people sitting on the equipment while looking at their phones. Otherwise, it is awesome and diverse.
Also like all of the community outreach programs, like the food pantry they run once a month in the gym. Lots of members help and even participate.
I like access to a swimming pool for water exercise class.
Friendly staff
The group exercise classes, especially BodyPump and BodyAttack, are great. I am a bit annoyed that BollyX is scheduled the same time as Zumba. You would think you would spread out the dance cardio classes so there is at least one option each day of the week.

Good schedule and very nice people.
