Love the warm water pool exercises for seniors.
Clean, and enjoy the deep water exercises every day.
You have something for everyone!
various classes and great scheduling; nice and warm instructors; great personal trainers
I enjoy the diversity in all types of ways...race, age, capabilities and perspectives. I enjoy the programs for the young and the old. I appreciate the commitment to safety in the water at the Y and in the community. I appreciate the connections that are a win-win with the SBISD making our community a better place to live.
The staff continues to improve in their commitment to keeping this facility clean, up to date and welcoming for all. The latest Director is the best we have seen since we opened and is often seen walking the facility, as are his direct reports. The fitness center is ever evolving and morphing into the changing latest fitness craze. The swimming lesson program is finally catching fire through the hiring of good instructors. The Dragons Swim Team seems to be benefiting from our association with SBISD and the Natatorium. The Masters swimming program is not available for those who work as practices are only during the day and not in the morning, noon or night, but it is available. The fitness supervisors in the fitness area seem to be working more with the members and looking less at their phones. This used to be a problem, along with sleeping guards at the swim pool, but not any more.
It is a loss for the fields we were once so blessed. It will be fine as long as we continue to have space to manage the childcare summer and holiday programs without drastically modifying the current programs of the seniors and fitness groups. Our youth sports programs need to find a new home, but this might be able to be arranged within our SBISD partnership or developing our schools and churches to help us continue to adequately provide these programs.
Our Duncan Y is a shining light within our community. It has competition. But, its core values are helpful as pillars for growth. Profit is not one of those pillars and should not be overvalued as we go forth. Our future right now is bright, but it has taken a lot of work within the organization to get it right in this uniquely diverse community.

Good activities
Nicely equipped facility, clean, friendly, and professional.
I like all the programs available to the older group of people who attend the Brenda & John Duncan Y. The classes, trips & other activities throughout the week ...
The instructors are nice and aware of the population in their classes. I am greeted every time I go to the Y by the front desk. staff.
I am not enrolled in any specific program but I am so thankful that the YMCA has a pool and machine stations since they are a major part of my exercise routine The YMCA always has a good environment where people can share their interest in health and well being. I always feel better after my visits. Thank you for being there for all of us in the NW/Cypress/Spring Branch area.
I love the programs that you offer for Seniors. It's keep them active and involved.
Activities for older adults room for cards, coffee available for socializing after exercise, bingo and birthday bash, financial hardship reduction for my monthly fees
Fit kids is great!
I mainly go to Silver Sneakers and really enjoy it. I do wish it would start a little earlier like 9:00 or 9:30, so it wouldn't cut into your whole morning. Thanks
Attend Silver Sneakers classes and like the instructors and the workout!
Silver Fit program
I enjoy the variety of group exercise classes and the varied times they are offered, you have a great staff if instructors that really care about the people attending the class
Love the morning zumba classes!
I enjoy the ability to walk in and do my workout and leave without a great deal of hassle or delay. The friendly staff is always available for me to stop and "crack a joke" with.
The only activity that I feel is inconsiderate which seems to have started with the younger members is the cell phone usage. On several occasions they have sat on a machine and dinked with their cell phone for, what appears, 5 minutes looking through email or the sorts while others are walking around them wanting to utilize the machine they are sitting at. The 5 minutes that they spend sitting there another person could have gotten on the machine and completed their usage and moved on. Surely a "policeman" is not necessary but perhaps a sign on the wall would draw their attention or a statement in the weekly YMCA promotion might help. To some point I have the time to wait but there are others who are in a bigger time crunch than I.

Benefit my over all health
I have made friends for my MWF AM workout. Like the coffee. Thanks
I love the workout classes that are offered. They are great classes and convenient for my work schedule (work a full day M-F). The child watch is also a great benefit. Whenever I have my child I'm able to still work out and take care of myself as well as have a place that is safe for my child. My child is in the summer day camp, after school care and most holiday camps. Being a member has helped get reduced pricing on these programs. Thank you for having great programs.
The many activities offered and friendly staff. Morning ladies in day care are super nice.

Very friendly staff and wonderful programs available for adults and kids.
