The machines are always clean and I am loving the new equipment in the center of the gym. The community you can build in the classes is amazing. The instructors are energetic and some of my dearest friends have been made from people I met in those classes. Hands down, the ladies in the child watch center are the kindest, sweetest people and my children LOVE going there which allows me to relax and enjoy my workout, knowing that they are happy and being loved on.

Hreat gym ...clean facility
As a senior I feel safe using the pools and shower facilities because there are appropriate railings, hand bars in all the shower stalls, and anti-slip flooring in the locker room.
Every thing is kept clean on a schedule and all the personnel have been super responsive, polite and go out of their way to make my experience there better!
I changed my membership from another Y to this one because of the safety and the warm pool and though I travel further, it’s really worth it!

The people
I like the way all colors, languages, abilities, sizes and shapes share the facilities. And as best as I can tell there are no problems.
The Y gives a place for senior citizens to exercise, a place for AOA activities, and a place to make new friends. It keeps us active and engaged with others.
Good location, good classes, good programs.
I don't come more often because I live far away. I like your pool and hot tub. Most of the time I there are lap lanes available. The lifeguards seem to be on top of things.
I have not been part of the special programs you have but come to use two different

Silver Sneakers is a great program for my wife and me.
I have tried several of the Houston-area Ys and the Duncan Y is by far the best. I was a long-time user of the Katy (Cinco Ranch) Y, but they converted the dedicated cardio room (with multiple treadmills and elipticals all equipped with individual TV's) into another dance/all-purpose room - a big loss. The best feature of the Duncan Y (which keeps me coming back) is the 2 elipticals in the row of machines that are the 2nd row back from the pool wall. The individual TVs are very important to me, as I can watch (and listen to) a movie and not even notice I am sweating for 60 minutes on these excellent elipticals and treadmills. Keep up the good work - I love the Duncan Y. I attend 4-5 days per week from ~7 pm until 8:15 pm.

I like the way that the equipment is maintained. It could be a little faster for repair work but I assume that is the contractor's fault. I also like the way the kids are taken care of and the security afforded to them.
Silver sneakers exercise class is all I’ve attended. I like it.
Pool is kept clean, life guards conduct themselves professionally. Facility down side is no towel service.
Swim lesson indoor is great for our kids
I go for the pool which is well maintained and kept to a good temperature for working out. The staff are very pleasant and easy to communicate with.
I love the YMCA. My kids love the pools and my husband loves the fitness center.
The child watch hours and caregivers are great.
The personal training is affordable and personal trainer DeRon is flexible and very respectful.
I would love to have a meeting at which plans could be made to develop the lake again. The lake was forgotten and ignored which led to its total destruction. Cost could be held to a minimum to rebuild the dam. It has built-in protection in the event of a flood but it’s been completely neglected In the past. This is sadning.
Enjoy the flexibility of activities and the variety of things to do. Many of my friends also attend the Trotter YMCA also.
