We called to enquire whether you had an Oru Inlet in stock, dropped in to make a purchase, were greeted near the door and offered help a couple times while the boat was being brought from the warehouse, always by staff who were willing to help but not hovering constantly. While paying, Jon, noticed us and came over to greet us, remembering that we had two previous Oru purchases and how asking about them and thanking us for returning. We aren't in often but it is nice to feel that our purchases matter and to feel that our business is appreciated. We have been customers since WildRock was north of George St, purchased 5 kayaks from Wildrock and our Werner paddles among many other purchases and we usually check your website before even considering other stores. We like to support local when we can and it is special to have an outdoor store with high caliber equipment available. We also like that you are able to order items for us if you don't have them in stock. Thank You.

I appreciated the laid back and friendly approach to customer service. Stores associated with "outdoor gear" and "outdoor adventure" activities often have a very strong gender bias steeped in toxic masculinity. The store felt non-judgemental, which allowed me to explore the different sections. This sense of safety is what would increase me to return in the future.

Both the website,and store are well run and have lots of great products with knowledgeable Staff. Pricing is a bit higher than other similar outdoor goods stores, but the support that is given makes it a bit more understandable.
