It feels like family. Each employee is top notch. The classes are amazing. Instructors are skilled and caring. The facility is well maintained and clean. Equipment is in good repair. Programming is varied and extensive. It’s one of our favorite places to be.
This Summer/Fall we started private, then semi-private swim lessons for my children with Abbey at the Floyd County Y. She is great! The kids look forward to going each week and have really come a long way since starting lessons.

I like the group exercise classes. There's something about a group of people working out together and having fun. Socialization is a big part of what the Y is all about. It's a great place to meet people and make new friends.

#1) The entire building is always clean and odor free!
And, all the equipment is operational and if there if a breakdown, it is promptly fixed. The staff is all knowledgeable and super friendly. Plus, if excercise classes are your thing, there are many choices. This is a first rate facility and at 71, I've been to a few and know what I am talking about.
Bright and friendly.
I swim laps at the Floyd County Y and the air temperature is much too cool especially if you keep the water temperature at 80. Most lap swimmers think it is too cool. If you could keep it 81-82, that would help especially when the air temperature is too cool. I swim fairly hard and swim about 3,000-3,500 yards in a workout and there are times that I never really get warm.
