The YMCA is open until 9 pm, has lots of activity options, including 3 pools, sauna, steam. It is clean and the equipment is up-to-date. I enjoy going there.

The Y gives me a place of peace, get in my water workout, meet wonderful people as well as being so welcome when I come into the doors of my Y in New Albany. I leave to go home with less aching joints and feeling of belonging to something very special. New Albany Y is real treasure to our area and I feel so blessed to have it so close to home. Thank you for all you are doing to maintain the Y to stay in our community. A real Star and I feel so grateful. Thank you.

The lap pool
I love the help I had from Jennifer who recommended things for me to do. I have rheumatoid arthritis and am not able to run or do strenuous workouts due to my joints. She has been great suggesting gentle yoga and walking..even the warm therapy pool. Most people there are extremely friendly.
I would like to comment that sometimes there are children there on the walking track and in the area who are not being supervised very well. Some on school days and I assume they are home schooled. It is hard for people who do not walk well to watch for kids on the track. Thanks
The instructor worked with her individually as needed. He made her feel comfortable with the lesson.
Katy was a great instructor. The facilities are nice and clean. The pool is warm. I enjoyed taking my little one to swimming lessons each week.
The swim instructor Meredith was so good with our daughter and all of the children. She made it a very fun environment. I'll definitely recommend others to take classes.
