everyone from the office staff to the trainers are very personable. The people I have come across in group classes as well as just going up to work out are always the nicest and if asked willing to help. The gym is always clean and I have yet to be there when it is so crowded that you can't get a workout in.

My son had a great time at camp and looks forward to returning next year! The accommodations for camp were great, the food was awesome, and all of the activities made camp memorable! The staff were also top notch and my son had nothing but good things to say!

I also enjoy being in that beautiful, historic building. I always feel safe at the Fort and quite often drive through the old Fort and over to the waterfront for the wonderful view. It is a special place!

The customer service of the front desk and the instructors were consistently excellent each day we attended for swim lessons. The swim instructors were engaging, fun, and worked around each child’s strengths and areas of growth, while pushing each of them to move a little out of their current comfort zone. It always felt safe and regulated.
We love the ymca! Thank you. A few suggestions. I would love to see it serve the Denbigh (uptown) Newport News area. I will continue to advocate this on my feedbacks :). I have visited several Ys across other states. An outdoor pool would be welcomed! Upgraded rowing machines are needed. Several weight machines have taped up cushions. A dedicated longer walking trail would be welcomed as well, currently it is very small circling the weights and cardio machines. Other locations have dedicated walking trails on a second floor location, overlooking the gym or basketball. It would also be nice to have some later evening hours on the weekend, especially on Sundays.

It's such a lovely place. I come there with my daughter who has a disability. I am so happy to be able to bring her there, let her swim and take advantage of the accessible shower room. It makes the experience that much easier for us. Thank you.
