I walked into to inquire about membership and was immediately provided a tour of the facility and all that WP YMCA has to offer. It was an easy sell - I signed right up! Staff is super friendly and helpful.

Equipment availability in weight room. More recently, the after hours access because it is not crowded.
Not too big, not too small. It’s a very family like atmosphere but has a lot to offer!
I love the aquatics director! There is a splash pad and outdoor playground for the little ones!

The staff are always so welcoming and friendly. I like that is not overly crowded. I love that they offer childcare for my son.

I love this location. My friend Debbie Crittenden attends this location. I live in Williamsburg but really like the great Senior Group in NewportNews. I joined in Williamsburg. Hope to see you all again in Newport News.

I really liked the welcome that I received when I walked through the door. It made me feel as if I was the only member. As I scanned in, the woman at the desk immediately said Good morning First name removed. She was able to notice that I was not familiar with the site, she took her time and answered all of my questions!
This was my son’s first time staying anywhere overnight and if that he stayed a whole week with no phone calls home no cell phone, no electronics no nothing. He had a blast. He came home talking about it and he also said he was going back next year, the staff is so friendly and kind and I would recommend this 10 out of 10.

I like swimming pool
I like everything about the Wellness Center experience. The front desk people are so kind and welcoming. Starts my day off right. The locker room (women's) is nice. The pool staff is wonderful - I haven't had a class or a lifeguard who wasn't friendly and encouraging.
Family friendly environment
I like the friendly atmosphere and multiple opportunities to participate in activities both familiar and new.
Leaders are fun, kind and knowledgeable.

I have a printed schedule so I can come and go when I want to for all classes.
Everything! I visit both the Victory Y in Yorktown and the Y at Huntington Park. The workers,with the exception of a few, go out of their way to provide a wonderful experience for the members. I go there for senior activities which are varied and very necessary for older residents. The classes are fun and the instructors are phenomenal. Our classes are limited, due to the safety concerns of dealing with seniors, but they fill up quickly and sometimes we have to turn some late comers away. I would like to thank Alli, Karen, Debra, Jackie, Joe, and Faye for the wonderful job they do.
