Clean, friendly staff, working and up to date equipment
What's not to like! Everything we need or will need in the future. Beautiful facilities, well maintained and constantly improving. Very professionally managed, with great people to work with. Excellent equipment.
My daughter has been going for 5 years. She loves the facilities, the staff, the activities, making new friends. This year she learned a new game, Piles, and we already had to go buy it for home!
Great for handicap prople
Rhiannon is an amazing swim instructor, and I am truly blessed to have her. It has been a pleasure and a fun experience working with her so far, and I can't wait for my next swim lesson. She deserves a raise!
I go there for the group exercise instructors. Jennifer England and Angie Moore-Lobach are a powerful combination for keeping me challenged and in shape! Thanks too for the variety of equipment and weights upstairs. I am a big fan of the bosu ball and rowing machine, which really compliment the other standard equipment.
Everyone was friendly and helpful...
I love going to this camp every year because, the counselor are humorous and show empathy to all of the campers. I love having the camp on a waterfront property because we get to do water sports and tubing. We do so many activities there; there is never a part of the day you are doing nothing except siesta when it is calm down time, (you don't really calm down in our cabin). I wish we could have more time on the water. I love this camp!
The nurturing and loving environment.
Summer camp at the Y was the best ever.
Instructors were very good! I came in to swim lessons knowing nothing about swimming but I was open and willing to learn. My goal was to at least know how to float at the end of my 8 classes and to y surprise I was actually swimming! Not great but swimming none the less. I never imagined at the age of 53 that I would be comfortable in the water and I am now and I’m so very very very happy that I came to your center and took lessons.
The mentorship, bonding with other kids. The array of activities - the pictures with faces of joy.
The safety, guidelines and protocol displayed by your trained staff.
I truly like the concept of having them do chores….absolutely a terrific idea.
Ours will be back!
The instructors were wonderful and really took their time to work with the children taking lessons.
The prompt responses that we have received has been wonderful. I don't feel like what the parents have to say falls on deaf ears. I feel our kiddos are being taken care of.
Nice friendly staff, great equipment, Community oriented, Christian values, and I don’t usually have to wait for equipment
--daughter had a great time at camp--fun activities, water sports were her favorite
Great experience, great instructors
Having a ton of activities available but not being forced into any particular activities. Also liked that they got to interact with the other kids their from different groups (siblings)
Summer camp staff is awesome
Instructors were welcoming and nice.
Well managed, clean and inviting facility
We had the best teacher (and Julie took over for 2 classes while she was out of town). I feel like Aisha (I hope that’s how you spell her name) did such a great job talking people through their blocks or fears. And also making space for those who picked up certain aspects more quickly. I got exactly what I expected to out of the class and can keep practicing
The accountability given to the children through the bead system, the organization and variety of the activities, and the information provided during the registration and pre-camp process. My children wish they could stay longer!
The instructor was friendly, patient and knowledgeable. I took the adult swim class to refresh and improve my skills. The instructor provided demonstrations and allowed sufficient practice of learned skills. She was very patient and helped everyone. Overall, this was a very worthwhile experience.
All the instructors were very patient with my son and made sure to give each child an equal amount of opportunity to learn!
The swim coordinator (Ashley) was very attentive and knowledgeable. She encouraged the kids to do what they were comfortable with and asked them to try new things they were unsure of. The daytime class was very small which gave her time to really spend some time with each child. My husband and I are very proud of the progress our daughter made this year in swim class.
Staff are amazing and work really hard with our child in swim class
We love our experience with the YMCA as always. We love the instructors. They are so patient and so kind. We've brought both our kids to the YMCA in Hampton for swim lessons. Even i went to this same YMCA at swim lessons as a kid! The only thing i would change is the schedule. I wish adult swim wasn't the same time as youth beginner swim because it moves all the kids to a small ropped off section of the pool and it affects the amount of space they have and the instructors have to maneuver and get creative with the space.
The instructors are doing an amazing job with teaching my 5 year old how to swim. I appreciate them.

People are nice and welcoming. Facility is clean.
