MJ and crew are fantastic ski boot fitters! I’ve never had a professional ski boot fitting in my many years of skiing. MJ took the time to find and properly fit the best ski boot for my feet. Skied the new boots today and what an absolute pleasure. Wow, didn’t realize what I was missing. As I work at the Steamboat Ski Resort 3-4 days a week and I’m on skis and in boots, comfortable boots that provide great stability, enhance skiing ability, and all day comfort are essential. Marcus,your employee at the mountain location, is extremely helpful and takes the time to ask the right questions to put customers on the appropriate demo skis. Derek (filling in for an ill staff member) made some modifications to my performance-fit ski boots to alleviate some hot spots and make them much, much easier to get into and remove.
10 out of 10! Will and MJ were excellent and helped me with my boots I bought online – never doing that again! After wearing the boots for one day, my toe was a mess.
Will went above and beyond by patching me up and then fitting my boots so I could get back out there. He measured every part of my foot, added supports and tried my boots on a couple of times until they were fitted properly. Will adjusted every part of the boot for me. He even told me to come back if they weren't feeling right on the mountain.
Both Will and MJ were EXTREMELY knowledgeable – I learned more about boots in one fitting than I ever had in years. I thought my boots were too tight, but found out it was the opposite!
Ask MJ to show you his secret for getting your boots on easily – pretty cool trick!

After using a cheap pair of oversized boots for three seasons (had no idea what to buy as a new skier), Harry got me setup in a brand new pair of Fischer Rangers. He took the time to custom fit my new boots, including custom footbeds, at a fair price. After considering several shops/bootfitters in town, I am beyond pleased with my decision to get fitted by Harry at Steamboat Ski and Bike Kare in their downtown shop!
