Member Testimonials
I love the communication and welcoming atmosphere. Everyone is positive and not judgmental, eager to help you achieve your goals!
The workers are so friendly and helpful. I actually just started working as a lifeguard there, and the directors and head guards really serve the lifeguards well so they can serve the public by watching their kids.
The Y in Arnold is in desperate need of a more kids friendly pool, like the one in Pasadena
Great family friendly
I really like that when I talk to an employee they seem to listen. Then response back from any problems is also very important to me. Lastly, I like the all inclusive things to do! I can take my kids for lessons, work out, they can do stay and play, salon and sauna. It's so convenient for a mom!
Great place to workout. Very clean and friendly staff.
Friendly staff, great pool and pool area, clean spacious locker room.
Availability of equipment. Friendly staff.
The equipment and facilities are clean and up to date and the staff is friendly. A special thank you to Gwen at the front desk for going above and beyond in taking care of us and making us feel welcomed.
Great personal Trainer!
Family Fun
Love the yoga classes with Dana, Felicia, and Brandon. They teach the best level and pace for my body and are all well trained and give alternatives for those of use with injuries or arthritis. Was great to have Jen H. subbing for Dana the last two Tues. She used to teach Gentle Yoga on Sundays and I really miss her. Nice to have the Y bring her back to sub during the summer when she is off from her full time teaching with our public schools.
Have worked with Denise Wells for years with PT, first aqua after a back injury and now with weight machines for overall conditioning. She is wonderful and keeps me motivated and feeling so much better with all my arthritis issues.
These staff members make coming to the Y a joy, knowing I will have a good exercise session with knowledgeable people who care and will make sure you have a safe workout.
I enjoyed water classes and swimming lessons previous summers and hope to get back to enjoying the pool again soon. You have the best swim facility in the greater Arnold/Severna Park/ Pasadena area!
Keep doing what you are doing and take care of your people because they are making you proud everyday!
I like the atmosphere of the Y. It is a comfortable place to exercise.
I like all the equipment and the size of the gym. However, the classes are at weird times - most of them are when I'm still at work, like yoga (why no early classes). Also the yoga instructor Mary is awful, it's yoga not African dance and please don't come to a fitness facility when you have a cold.
Mr Robert was really good with the kids. My son was very nervous but Mr Robert was very patient and made the class fun for my son. The only reason we have not yet signed up for another session is because we were on vacation.
Keep children out of the lap lanes
Polite staff
Very clean facility
Barbara the instructor taught my grandsons how to swim and save themselves. The following week they passed their swimming test.

We love everything about the Y. The atmosphere is very friendly. The staff are do sweet and friendly!!
Thank you for asking! I just joined, but mainly for the pool. The only thing that I would say is this. The adult swims are a bit too frequent. And, what are staff doing to rid the pool of hair? Every time I move my hands in the pool there is hair. Kind of nasty. Are they going through with a net each day? Because if they aren't they really need to. A net that would rid the pool of hair. The filters are just not doing it. Thanks.
Friendly staff, good programs
It’s a place for families. It has something for every member to enjoy.
Rob First name removed's instructor was very understanding and taught him alot.
Family Atmosphere. Staff Friendly Clean
I always rate a 10 because of my experiences with the Y in general but this was actually a very frustrating visit. We drove 30 mins to take our kids to the outdoor pool here for a short while before work. We checked the family swim hours before leaving so we knew we were in good shape. As soon as we got there, an "adult swim" began and for 15 out of the 30 mins we had available to swim, my kids sat and watched empty shallow pools. This doesn't seem at all in the spirit of the Y which is supposed to be family friendly. Nor was it consistent with the hours advertised. I don't think we will go back. Such a shame.
The outside pool is amazing!!
Facilities are great. Pool area is fantastic.
I love the pool in Pasadena though the swim restrictions for children are absolutely ridiculous. As a former lifeguard and a parent of 3 small kids, I understand water safety better than most. But these age restrictions for children are limiting access to the pool in ways that will provide barriers to kids learning to swim. For example- I have a 7,4 and 1 year old. The older 2 have been in swim lessons for YEARS. But due to age I have to be physically in the pool with all 3 of them. Which means my 7 year old is stuck in the baby pool with me and the younger two. At 7 I was in the deep end and going off the diving board at my local pool. But my kid can’t do that because of your restrictive policies. It’s limiting the swimming experience he can get. In addition, by the time a kid is old enough to go down the slide- they basically are too big to want to go down the slide. If a kid has a green or yellow band- they should be able to go down the slide. ESPECIALLY if there is a parent right there.
My whole family loves this place. I mean everyone from 10 months to 40+ years old.

Excellent customer service. Great amenities. Reasonable pricing and family friendly!
