Variety
I love the convenient location from downtown Baltimore. I am able to get my workout completed in a reputable fitness facility and organization and feel safe. I wish it were in the heart of downtown, but it's location is ideal from work to home. I live in Hunt Valley and Towson is my closest Y destination, but this works for leaving work at the end of the day and fitting in my fitness goals.

Staff at the facility is friendly, the facility is clean, and there is a variety of machines I use multiple times weekly for my workouts. Access to the Y has helped me keep a regular exercise regimen.
Great community gym. I use the wellness/fitness center mostly but I appreciate all the programs for the community going on very much. (My one admittedly small issue is I wish there were more space to do stretching/mat exercises. The tiny space seems to get smaller all the time with more equipment placed over there, and it's almost always crowded with people. The rock climbing wall floor is not a good alternative for me because it's too soft to support my bad back well.)
Love the Waverly Y, but wish there were toddler step stools at the bathrooms sinks.
Group exercise and meeting with friends
Ben was wonderful and welcoming; gave us a tour of the facility. We signed up on the spot. Since then, I have found the staff to be all equally friendly and helpful. That makes a big difference. I like the feel of the facility - open and sunny.

Great facilities, helpful staff, great classes. It aleays has a lively feel, with people’s of different ages there. The renovations look good.
Very nice staff and clientele! I can usually find a lane to swim in. One issue I have is there are sometimes unscheduled classes taking up lap lanes.
