What do you like about your Y experience?

Ms. JoAnn was very patient with the kids. She encouraged them and helped them after class when they asked her. The class size was good at 5 or so kids. Any larger and it would have been hard to control and make productive progress.

What do you like about your Y experience?

I came to this Y because I was taking a swim class when I had a bad experience at the Y in Dundalk.
I continued class at the 33rd St. Y and even though I was two classes behind, I still learned do many of the tasks that were taught to me. Bex was an excellent instructor! I wish I could have her again. I will be taking the class again in March because I still have things I need to master before moving on.

Love the renovations! Ms Joann is awesome. She was patient and kept a good eye on the kids. My son has learned a whole lot and has great confidence.

Instructor was patient and kind to kids. Made time to talk with parents about childrens progress. Started snd ended class on time.

My children have fun and look forward to playing with their Y friends. They have access to the rock climbing wall and basketball court.

Clean, high quality facilities; friendly and motivating teachers with fun exercise classes; lots of programs to support people in their exercise goals; the pool!! ; free childcare with membership; friendly staff; affordable memberships; programs that appeal to lots of different kinds of people (interests, genders, ages)

What do you like about your Y experience?

Everyone is always extremely welcoming. I feel safe and like I belong when I go to the Waverly YMCA. I really appreciate how diverse the community using the YMCA is, and it feels good to spend the time around kids and seniors and everyone in between. I also like that the hours have made it very easy to fit a swim into my schedule almost every other day, and my fitness and health are improving as a result. Thank you!

What do you like about your Y experience?

You guys do a good job of keeping things feeling new and updated. It's a bright, clean facility. It draws a diverse crowd both in terms of race and age. Only complaint is that there's no wifi and the reception in there is terrible.

It's like the TV show Cheers- you run into so many people you know (staff and other people working out alike) and everyone is so friendly!

What do you like about your Y experience?

I'm a lap swimmer, and as a new member I wondered about how crowded the pool was. The time I went there was no wait time, and the lifeguard on duty was pleasant. I look forward to my future visits.

The community. The vibe. The facilities. The classes and programs. Everything. It’s a great organization. Even if I stopped going, I would continue supporting the Y.
