We love to go swimming! Every time I bring my toddler, the life guards turn on the water features for her. It's wonderful. They do a great job. Stay and play is also a great help.

When I joined I went in and got my membership tag and was told how to get to the locker room. I loved how clean and spacious the locker room was, but I felt cramped in the workout room where all of the machines are. At peak times it is uncomfortable with so many people so close together.
My mother went in a few days ago and got her membership tag and was given a full tour and workout guidance, so I wondered why I was left to figure things out on my own. I will ask at the desk when I return again.
I go to the Parkville Y often because it's closer to my job but the locker room there is tiny and extremely humid from the pool and not confortable, so I appreciate the space at the Abingdon location although I wish there was more space in the workout area where the machines are.
The staff is always friendly and welcoming.
Their programs fit everybody's needs. U can make friends 4 life. The "Y" staff is so welcoming & caring.
I really enjoy the classes and instructors!
But the location is great and I do show up to the Y 3-4 times per week

The amenities at the Y are amazing. I love the classes a d having the ability to swim.
Staff is helpful, caring and professional. Services, classes for my age group are many abd staff is open and ready to share adaptations for individual needs. It is a warm healthy environment.
I love the chair yoga and wish there were more classes like it. I would also like to see walking classes. There are DVD’s that just require someone to push a button on a disc that is attached to a TV. No instructor required - She comes with the tape. A person sitting at the front desk could push the button. Also why do classes overlap or start as soon as another is over. We need a few minutes to get from one place to another. Please consider the time of day the classes are and the age group that attends. Working people cannot attend Everfit in the morning so why have a peppy instructor when the 70+ group cannot keep up with her and she has her “routine” and does not realize that we cannot keep up and never will. Age and health will not allow it.

We especially love the parents night out. The new drop & shop or whatever it's called where you drop the kids off on select Saturdays to go shopping. The fit n fun Mondays for FREE are AMAZING!
My kids love the basketball program with coach Jake, he's an absolute gem & so great with the kids. My daughter is also really enjoying the rock wall program, and everyone that's involved in that is great as well.
If I can make a couple suggestions... PLEASE bring karate to the Abingdon location! Karate is so INSANELY expensive in this area and my kids are dying to try it. Also, dance would be great too!- ballet or hip hop, anything really.

I love the Abingdon Y!!! Everyone is so nice and helpful. I forgot my water bottle one day and one of the ladies at the front desk gave me a cup and told me where the water was at.
The cleaning lady is such a sweetie! I talk to her every time I’m there.
Also the girl at the front with special needs is amazing too. Always a smile on her face! I love that the Y is so accepting of all people!!
