This is a great place for families! And as more people learn that, more families are coming which is great and a clear sign that more programming and space for families is needed. With a new gym neighbor coming, it is very likely that we’ll lose some members for the shiny new offerings. But those will most likely be individual memberships and people who maybe come more for their fitness goals than for the community. Though they will be sorely missed, this is a golden opportunity to recommit to the Y’s family and community-oriented mission! I hope to see more fantastic programming for young children and parents and special programs designed for teens to keep them engaged and developing their ability to mentor our youngest Y members! Also, Aisha’s classes are phenomenal and need more space while the kiddos are in stay and play or mixed sports. We love the Y and will keep bringing our friends families!

My experience was excellent and I look forward to continuing my membership at the Ward Y! My son loves bringing his friends to the Y to work out and I know that it is a healthy activity for him and his friends. That gives me peace of mind.

I enjoy the water fitness and zumba classes. Also, I occasionally use the equipment in the gym.
I just signed back up. We had not been members in years. I was disappointed to see that the slide was removed from the family pool. My wife also mentioned that girls under the age of 16 are no longer allowed in the women's bathroom? I don't understand why my 8 years old daughter could not accompany her mom into the women's room. Can you explain the reasoning for the policy?

Family fun for everyone
We love the classes for our daughter. It gives her the opportunity to try new experiences and us to get out of the house.
I'm on the masters swim team and enjoy training with with my fellow swimmers. The coach keeps up with all the new training methods from all the top coaches in our sport. The rest of the Y staff are friendly and easy to communicate with if needed.
Great swim instructors, they call you directly when the class is going to be canceled
I am very grateful for the grant that provided free water safety lessons for my daughter. The instructor has been very patient and understanding with her as she doesn’t always want to participate. My daughters back float has greatly improved and I love watching her “swim” around our house using her big arms! Thank you for offering this introductory program for children who aren’t quite ready for swim lessons yet but still need to be safe in and around water.
