Member Testimonials
We stopped into the Y on Sunday to find out about the pool schedule. We received the warmest welcome. We were taken on a tour and given all the information we needed to start using the pool.
We left being so excited about our new membership because the employees were so nice and accommodating.
A big thanks to them.
I joined for the pool. It's nice that everything is in one convenient location. Cafe area is a great additional offering.
que me recibieron con mis hijitas y hay muchas opciones o disciplinas que se pueden aprovechar
The Y is not just at Catonsville , but at least several other locations as well. This provides familiarity and flexibility. My grandkids are also members and they like the basketball opportunities , while I prefer other equipment. The facilities are clean , safe and cozy. As a senior , it's nice to be able to sometimes just get out the house and just sit and talk to others.
It’s clean and tge people are very funny.
The atmosphere, location and the friendly people.
it’s very clean and staff very nice
Very family friendly atmosphere.
Very friendly people. Catonsville y makes you feel so at home and the class instructors are excellent!!
So far, everything. 😁 Very friendly and welcoming staff and people. Well kept facilities.
The variety.
The people working there are always friendly and welcoming the different rooms are always clean and the water in the pool is always wet I do wish they would put cutouts in the curb in front of the doors instead of to the sides so it's easier to get into the building
Plenty of parking and it isn't overly crowded during the times I have visited. The lockerroom is kept clean and the pool area clean and organized. Friendly staff! I am surprised, however, that there is no traffic light at the entrance. I'm concerned that once school is in session, leaving the Y may become an issue at certain hours.
Everyone’s is really nice and the facility is clean
The swim offerings have been great for my three kids. We have been doing lessons for several years and they have been great with some great instructors like Jordan and Lauren and others! My two oldest recently did the swim academy and Ella was amazing with them. It was an hr and 50 minute session and my kids did not want to leave and asked for me to sign them up again! Thanks to the Y for giving my kids confidence in the water and teaching them safety all while they have fun!
I love Robin’s water fitness class! She has an amazing playlist to which she has choreographed a challenging, fun workout. Robin is always supportive and gives suggestions on how to modify the moves to either challenge participants further or to make the workout less strenuous so everyone can be successful.
I also love the positive atmosphere of the class. Everyone is there to have fun and to work on their fitness. The members at the Y are great, friendly, and welcoming. Thank you, Catonsville Y, for being a wonderful resource in our comminity!
Wide variety of classes. Busy but not crowded. Staff & fit coaches are attentive. Community is sociable and diverse.
Convenient
Flexible, convenient, lots of options, great staff, and I like the family vibe!
The YMCA is a great facility. I tore my meniscus and was not going to be able to use the gym as planned
I like all of the classes like Yoga and water aerobics.
Staff very helpful
The Y is always a friendly place to go and has something for everyone.
Friendly staff and clean accommodations.
The different options for group classes. Asking for more water aerobics classes especially before work at 6am and after work starting at 5pm.
Nice staff, pool is cooler than ours at Charlestown (much more condusive for lap swimming).
Monthly cost for poor elderly peops like me is so much better than $48!
I aim for 2:00 and hope I'm not asked to share😁
Great rock climbing class for my daughter! Instructors were communicative and experienced and she had a great time!
Helpful staff.
