Everyone was very friendly and helpful when we signed up! Then, we had an appt to meet with an employee who showed us all the equipment. She was super patient and had us tour the facility and helped demonstrate any machines we might be interested in. Also, we watched classes in progress and received guidance on what to expect from all classes offered. Thanks so much!!
Great staff and facility. My trainer, Faith, is top-notch. And the Small Group Class with Emily kicks my butt every time.
Clean. Great instructors. Family-friendly environment (for the most part) - doesn’t feel like a pickup place for singles.
The gym area is always clean, the bathrooms/lockers always stocked and clean, and the staff are always friendly and willing to help! The only recommendation I have is, at least two of every workout machine to keep up with the amount of members. At times, there are too many people and not enough equipment. It is a small gym so it's understandable but I believe if there were at least two of each popular machine, it would greatly improve the flow of a workout.

The only thing I do at the Y are the water classes and I find the instructors to be very good plus there is a class every day except Sunday at a time that is convenient for me.
Me and my family kids go to ymca for swimming lessons, gym to lift weight, play basketball.

I mostly use the pool. The lifeguards are very professional and friendly, and the pool and dressing rooms are well maintained. Also, the front desk personnel are pleasant and welcoming.

I love the facility and the class selection as well as the fact that each class has multiple times. I was a member for a few years and then left to try another gym - and I'm so happy to be back!
I highly highly recommend the South Tampa YMCA to everybody I know. I cannot think of another organization in Tampa that delivers such an array of constantly available services for all members of the community all year long. There simply is not one. For example, as a mom of three little kids, it would be absolutely impossible for me to work out if the Stay and Play at the YMCA did not exist. I don’t know how other moms are working out. There are swimming lessons, gym classes, incredibly flexible open hours throughout the entire year save for I think two holidays. There is simply not a better place that services this community in my opinion.
I exercise at Campo 3 to 4 times a week and I look forward to being there. The workout floor equipment is excellent and rarely is anything out of order. The Trainers are very well informed and always ready to answer questions. I have been to LA Fitness, Crunch and BayCare and I feel that Campo does it better
