Member Testimonials
Lots of different activities to choose from.
The YMCA has given me additional confidence to try new things... and succeed!
The biggest praise I have is for the Coach Approach that I started right after joining 6 months ago. It is a great structured program.... but what really allowed me to thrive was my coach, Shivi! She gave the needed encouragement and push for me to make going to the Y to workout three times a week a part of my weekly routine.
I am now taking personal training sessions with Shiva.... She is awesome!
I swim laps each week. This is an important low impact aerobic exercise for me. Stretching classes and exercise machines. Also, a friendly and informative staff. Meet new friends.
Senior friendly programs
spacious, nice, and clean
I’m a new member for only about a month so far. I’ve taken advantage of several classes. The staff and members seem to be very friendly and so far, so good.
Although I wish several of the classes that I’m interested in like cycle/spin would be after 5 PM as I do work at 9 to 5 job. I do enjoy the variety to be able to try different things though in the program schedule.
We have found that the staff teaching the classes are friendly and knowledgeable, we have enjoyed meeting, new friends, and we tell our friends about our experiences at the Ymca.
Lap swim and treadmill.
Don’t use programs and activities.
Water aerobics instructor, Marian and crystalline are spectacular
Nice pool.

The variety of classes and great instructors
-Very excited about upcoming Tai Chi classes
-Pickelball coordinator Al is wonderful-great guy
-Grateful that my UHC Medicare Supplemental plan includes Y membership- thank you for participating...
-Multiple lanes for lap swimming is appreciated
Suggestions:
-Start a new cycling class late morning and/or afternoons- Cycling for Seniors; 30 minutes
-Consider open pickleball play on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons; possibly outside when the weather permits
-Announce monthly senior punch card winners
-Consider better marketing name for AOA stretch class as no-one really knows what AOA stands for....Suggestion-TRX Stretch and Balance
I take advantage of the pool and water aerobic classes. Besides the exercise, I enjoy the social aspect of having friends at the Y. I’ve met them through water classes. The The staff is the best!
The variety of programs is exceptional. I especially like the water boot camp/water aerobics classes that are available Monday through Friday.
The people who work there are friendly and helpful and encourage us to participate.
Zumba, Yoga, and the indoor track
There are many to choose from during the day and evening
I started working as a swimming instructor at McCleskey in 2011 and was laid off during the pandemic. But to me , this Y is my connection to life and feeling great.
I've made great friends through the years and still share my time with them!
Everyone there is now a part of my family!
Great water aerobics instructor!
Everything that I attended
The play center, cardio room, and classes are amazing. I could only work out there once or twice a week if it weren't for the play center. The play center staff are wonderful!
Love the Zumba class with Dell and Jen and the Total Body with Julie and Sue.
The variety of activities and equipment.
I enjoy the pickleball courts and the weight room
