All the class offered
New equipment
We love the pool. It’s great for my toddler and me. The staff is always there and not imposing. We love it.
All the Senior classes are easy to follow and the instructors are friendly and helpful.
The variety of different group exercise classes
They are family-friendly if you need childcare you all with care for the children while the adults work out.
Organized & friendly with diverse programming.
Awesome Instructors!
Steam room, Saunda , and whirl pool , indoor track & friendly people
I like the equipment offerings, the indoor track and ease of movement. Now if I can make a couple of recommendations: 1) Please remind some (not all) of the front desk employees that it is important to greet and smile at members as they enter the building. 2) Please replace the flat punching bag in the room on the 2nd floor. It has been flat now for about a year. Thank you.
Programs are organized and well planned
The variety of classes but I wish on Saturday the Y would extend the hours to 7pm
There are various activities to do and friendly people leading the programs and activities.
The variety of classes open to persons of various ages, physical capacities and at various times; clean, well-maintained facilities; adequate parking.
Convenient, clean, easy to use & get around
Everything
Fun, lots to choose from, but aerobic machines ( like ellipticals) need to be updated or serviced. Most don't play TV or have working audio
great facility, I love that the spin room is a dedicated room and bikes don't get moved around a lot, so there are fewer calibration issues.
I’m super excited about the swim lessons for kids with special needs that is going to start at the East lake ymca. It is incredibly difficult to find activities for kids with adhd or autism in Atlanta. And our kids need to know how to swim for their own safety.
Additional sports, especially team sports would be a huge help to allow our kids to participate would be a huge help too. My son would love to play sports but the team sports are too intense for his liking.
Nice space for lifting. Great staffs
Front desk and every thing
Zumba. Senior strength
Good teamwork for the children (basketball, soccer etc). Good workout for the adults
the classes for the senior/adult members are great and so are the instructors.
Great people and facility.
It's clean, the variety of exercises classes available. The coach approach program, no loud overhead music, and It's family friendly.
I would like to suggest that the manager of the swimming pool be more problems solving focused than authoritarian focus. For example, if a lane is designated for lap swimming and no one is there lap swimming then to allow other activities to occur like parents teaching their children to swim or people exercising in the lane should not cause a power struggle particularly when member are willing to move if a lap swimmer wants to swim. There should also be given preference to space and lifeguards during the 45 minutes of water aerobics classes. If the limit is 20 people that a lifeguard can watch, then for 45 minutes additional, lifeguards should be on duty to serve the members.
I have asked numerous times that mats be placed in the women's locker room to no avail. This is a safety issue! When you shower and walk on the floor in the women's locker room there is always excessive water which could cause members to slip.
