I just joined so this survey is perhaps a bit premature. But there seems to be a great variety of classes. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Weight/machine section is very good, sometimes a tad too crowded - but hey - what gym isn't.
I have been a member off and on for years. The Y offers great classes and a nice place for self-directed strength training as well. It is a clean and up to date facility.
Love the classes
I like the personal coach to help me get comfortable with the workout machines.
I especially like the Cybex weight machines - scheduled to be replaced in Aug 2025 - Linda’s Friday Pilates fusion class and Daryl’s Saturday Barre class. The atmosphere is also friendly and inviting.

I haven’t been able to do many classes yet, but the one I did take I liked. I like the many kids programs and childcare that’s offered.
Decatur Y is a wonderful resource for our family. We always have great experiences during every visit and the childcare really helps us because we do not have any local family support!!

I love the variety of classes offered.
The trainers are wonderful very dedicated and caring individuals. The people at the desk are also caring and friendly
I really liked the variety of camps offered. We can tell that our youngest improved in swimming by being exposed every day to the water. My daughter really liked being part of TTG.
The hours really work well for working parents. I thought the additional activities, like Kona Ice every Wednesday, the book fair and the free eye exam, were a nice touch and beyond what I'd expect from a summer camp.
I thought the check in/check out process was really easy and convenient.
The only thing the kids did not seem to enjoy as much was the food. It seems like there could be some improvement to the vendor, especially because they delivered spoiled milk at one point.

Great classes and instructors and programs for all ages and capabilities
