I attended the Y Cycle class with Andre and he was extremely helpful. It was my first time so he showed me how to set up the bike and explained all of the features in great detail. During the class, I really appreciated the fun music, clear instructions, and supportive atmosphere. I will definitely attend again.

I typically use the weight room. Overall, it has what I need.

Te pool is warm.

I like the weights and cardio. But there are way too many teens milling about.
Could you do a teen hour or something. Actually it really isn’t the teens—too many people in the weight section. It’s frustrating to have people sitting on the machines on their phones too. But, the staff is good/helpful, the cardio machines are plentiful, etc. Excellent location; one of the better ones!

I joined the Decatur Y in about 1980 and have returned after about 10 years. I mostly use the weight machines and the indoor track.

Barre and Pilates

I love the Decatur Family YMCA located on Claremont in Decatur. The employees are very welcoming, professional, and always helpful! I especially love all the water aerobics classes, which I attend every week. They have helped my back issues immensely!

Barre classes and gentle yoga classes are excellent. Love the wide angle ellipse machines. Staff is friendly and helpful. Clean, good equipment.

Your instructors are great. In particular, Anna (Chair Yoga), Janina (Yoga, S and S Swim), and Jean (Tai Chi)

You offer things for old folks
and finally,
you raise money for good causes, provide scholarships for kids and families who need them

I love the Decatur Y…so glad I joined this amazing wellness community!!

I truly enjoyed my children's participation in the traditional and specialized camps. My son was particularly enthusiastic about the STEAM camp, especially the rocket-making activities and the demonstrations provided by the visiting team. My daughter LOVED the opportunity to take part in the Triple Threat camp. The weekly performances were a wonderful addition, allowing parents to witness firsthand what the campers had learned throughout the week. The performances was a rewarding experience for her, and as a parent, seeing her growth was very gratifying. I am also very thankful to the camp director and the entire camp team for ensuring my children's safety and well-being, including providing meals. It was a positive experience, and we eagerly anticipate participating in some of the camps again next year and other community activities.

Love the choice of classes. I currently take 5 a week, and looking to enjoy others. The instructors for the classes are all knowledgeable, take care to explain the proper positions and why this is important, and how to get the most out of the class. Also love the choice of equipment in the Wellness Center.

I primarily use the upstairs elliptical and weight machines, and they are very well maintained and clean. One suggestion is to kindly enforce the no phone , including texting and reading social media while idly sitting on a machine. Thank you

Inclusiveness, extended hours, friendly staff, good machines in fitness center.

I don't use any of the programs or activities (yet). I just love the facilities, weight room, swimming pool, Basketball court, locker room, whirlpool, steam room.
