I love the classes and that our family can all go.
I just wanted to say that I love many of the instructors my favorites are lucky and Julia and Joseph. Privately, having taken exercise classes for years. I wish that Lindsay did not teach so many classes a day since I know there is an instructor for everyone out there, and it would be nice to see different instructors teaching throughout the day. If you all are looking for more instructors, I know many people would love to take the training. I don’t know if people know what is required to be an instructor.

After I retired, I decided to join the Decatur YMCA because I wanted to stay active and meet new friends.. I have been going to the Decatur YMCA for approximately 7 years. I take mostly all the Yoga classes and Pilates because it helps with mobility, it's great for balance, staying flexible, and calming your mind. The exercise machines are also helpful. I'm there with like-minded people who want to stay active as long as possible. The instructors are very knowledgeable on what seniors need as far as exercise and also in engaging with all the wonderful people who work there and the new friends I've found. I've recommended the YMCA to my friends and they are enjoying it too.

Great staff and wonderful programs.
I enjoy working out with the wellness coaches. I also enjoy the pool in the water aerobics. I wish they were offered over the weekend.

Something for everyone. Never feels crowded.
The people who teach the classes I've taken are outstanding. They've got terrific energy, spirit and knowledge. The same people attend the dances classes I take each week because of that and there's a great sense of community.
The people who staff the Y are also wonderful people.
I like the atmosphere of building community. The helpful nature of the staff. The friendliness and openness of the staff.
Facility is clean and equipment is well maintained
The only complaint I have is that the no phone policy in the weight room is not enforced by the staff. Members are thus required to act as 'monitors.' I have seen one encounter nearly come to fisticuffs. When seeing members sitting on machinery, scrolling, or texting, staff should kindly-but sternly- ask them to cease and/or relinquish the equipment to fellow, rule abiding members.
Cycle instructors are great. Lots of options for times.
Great teachers- yoga (Kim and Megan) and functional fitness (Joseph).

I don’t really participate in anything but cardio and weight machines- but the facility is clean, the machines are well maintained, and it’s a safe environment.
Great facility, equipment, and staff. Staff members and coaches are knowledgeable and always willing to help.
I really like some of the instructors. I’ve developed personal relationships with them and they really understand and encourage me. This Y also has a very active and encouraging weight room environment.
I love the pool
First and foremost is that Wade Walker is a friendly place, with smiles, greetings and encouragement in abundance! Secondly, it is the closest Y to me, and has excellent equipment and resources. There is a warm, welcoming vibe there. My only complaint is that some people "camp out" looking at their cell phones while others are waiting for a station to be freed up. I suggest having signs around the room encouraging people to be aware of others waiting for various stations, and if lots of people are there, suggest limit 2 sets per station in such cases.
The programs are many and targets each need. Staff are supportive and friendly. It is the right place to belong
I like some of the classes. I would like to see a consistent daily schedule, for example: Body Pump Monday, Wednesday, Friday 10 am, rather than the current schedule with random classes throughout the morning.
