Love the variety of classes offered, that new ones are introduced frequently. Also, appreciate the equipment in the gym - there’s enough and enough space even when it’s busy.
Lastly, the BEST part about the Y is the amazing staff in the play center. The twins love coming to play, and I love having a great place for them to be while I exercise.

Variety and full schedule of activities, the enthusiastic and friendly staff, instructors as well as the atmosphere of welcoming all ages and level of fitness. Not to forget the cleanliness and convenience of the facility! Very much ***** in all aspects!
Daycare here is amazing! I stopped going to the ymca at east lake because the daycare there didn’t work for us. We are so glad to have joined at Decatur. The ladies in the daycare are so great with children and go the extra mile to make sure everyone is comfortable and happy :)
Lisa is also the most amazing trainer to work with on a fitness plan. She takes a really thorough approach to make sure you know how to use the machines most effectively.
This location is also very clean!
I have not attended programs or classes
The constructive criticism I would make is that I believe the YMCA should have more recumbent bikes. There is often a wait for that item. The list up front (waiting list) is not in any way helpful as no one lets you know when bike is free, no one enforces list and I frankly dont know what it is for.
When I look at list, people are always waiting for recumbent bike. So I would recommend to order another one and fix them more promptly when broken. That is my feedback.

Friendly atmosphere. Clean, clean, clean. Pool is awesome and so is exercise room. Shower rooms are great. Learning to swim and instructors are very patient, understanding and helpful since i'm a senior person. Love this Y!
I love the senior classes. What about a senior yoga class in a chair!

There is something for everyone and the Decatur Family YMCA is very inclusive of all people.

I love body pump. I just wish you offered more classes. I also wish the pool was open for some lap swimming before 11 a.m. on week days.

Myself & daughter do the exercise programs and use the gym. My son is in soccer and basketball. This is great because it keep the kids active and helps socializing skills
