Variety of classes. Fairly casual atmosphere.
Programs for all ages, plenty of variety in classes offered. The staff is friendly. Other opportunities to socialize, space to read and hang out. I've recently had to cut back on exercise because of a flare up in arthritis in my hip. I appreciate having the QiGong class and cycles. I'm going to try out the back pain class soon.
We loved the soccer program this fall, most notably the addition of practices to the younger age groups. Kristen did such a great job.
I like that there is such a wide range of programs to choose from, all made accessible by the price and location (being available at multipe locations).
I like that you provide so many programs and activities. The weight room isn’t over crowded or full of rude, intimidating people. The people are of all ages and stages of life. Everyone is there for better health and I love that. The major draw for me was that your connected to the town lake trail. I run on it everyday and then come into the gym to use the restroom, sit in the sauna, use the lockers and finish my workout with a little weight lifting. It’s a huge bonus that my 12 year old daughter can come and do most of that with me.
The instructors but don't change the classes so much.
We enjoy the water classes with Sandy, Q & Nate. Always a good workout & fun, too.
The availability of classes and wide range of scheduling
Great programs for our kids.
The large lap pool is a little cold though. My 6 yo freezes!
People, variety of activities
I like the diversity of the people who frequent the Y. The programs are pretty good, but while we have many good instructors, some don't know the routines, give bad information, and are somewhat unpleasant.
I am bothered by the manner that the Townlake Y attempts to integrate those with different abilities into programming. Using them as "greeters" makes me cringe. It is demeaning to the people you ask to do it. How would you feel if someone asked you to great people people you don't know and and give them a fist bump? That is not true inclusiveness.
I think your classes are the best part of the Y. Spin classes, pilates, yoga.
Convenience of location. And the pool
They are inexpensive.
I like the fun, community atmosphere with no pressure. I feel like I'm part of an organization doing good work and improving the lives of everyone in the community. An organization that cares about me as a member, rather than an impersonal corporate chain gym that views me solely as a revenue source.
Always such a clean facility, delightful staff and plenty of activities for the whole family!
The variety of classes & skill levels. Would like to have more water classes with
a variety of exercises.
I like the feeling of inclusiveness at Townlake YMCA, especially visiting in the lobby
& activities there. Paul Silver has done a good job in the past in planning activities,
hope it continues. Erin continues the tradition.
haven't accessed them.
Group exercise and that it is close to home.
I love the yoga classes!
I like the multitude of group exercise classes and yoga classes.
Their inclusivity, above all else.
I love this place
Our kids enjoy the swim classes and have progressed beyond our expectations. And, us parents enjoy working out weekly from your weights to the machines upstairs.
I like the variety and the quality of the teachers. Most of them are top notch. However, I would like to see the schedule be updated on a timely basis so that we are aware of times that there might be a substitute for a class. Sometimes you make an effort to go to a particular class, and it can be disappointing if the expected teacher is not there. It happened today at the Town Lake Y for the 8:15 yoga-lates class. Turns out the Y was aware of the substitution last Friday, yet no change was made to the schedule.
Maintenance of facility and equipment. Variety of equipment and exercise options, swimming, basketball, machines, weights, etc.
friendly staff
Welcoming to people of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
I love the classes offered. Thus far I'm going to the Yoga and Pilates classes and love them. But, what I really like is that there are other classes for me to try.
I like the cleanliness of the facility. I like the people. I like all the different people who come and the feeling of community.
I love having a membership at the YMCA, Town Lake location.
Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, and great variety of classes

Having childcare on site makes ALL the difference between being able to come and work out or not.
I like the women with weights class. I like that there is a pilates class everyday so allows me to attend when l can
