Great equipment, and the free coffee is a great perk!
Your staff & facilities are great
Facilities exceed those of the big box globogyms, but at a lower price. The staff are always incredibly friendly, inclusive, and welcoming. I feel excited and proud to go workout here.
Great community for people in recovery. Thank you for making the YMCA so accessible for so many.
I love the pool. It's super clean and the lanes are huge and the fans keep it from feeling stuffy in the room.
They feel like everyone there, belongs there.
Great teachers!
The program is much more relaxed than some of the super competitive swim teams in Austin. It still has discipline and structure , but the coaches do a great job of making it a fun workout for all the kids!
The swim team coach Chris is wonderful! Both of my kids want to stay because of him and I can do this because of the affordability of the program.
I have really enjoyed the Pilates and yoga classes.
diversity
I like the swimming pool, the jacuzzi, the steam room, and the exercise room. The locker & changing facilities are also fine for me. The parking is OK, and so far it has not been too crowded.
I LOVE the group classes. YMCA offers a great selection of classes and all the instructors are top notched!
Really nice downtown facility.
I like that the Y is inclusive of all peoples. I also enjoy body pump and that there are lots of machines :)
I love the YMCA and I will recommend it to any family
Really great classes!
I love that fitness classes are included in my monthly membership fee. I also like the general atmosphere of the YMCA. It feels more like a community center than a gym, and everyone there is there to be healthy. There isn't any body shaming or aspirational perfectionism in the rhetoric of classes, which is refreshing. Thank you for creating a healthy, no nonsense environment!
Great classes and class availability! I’ve already recommended the pump and spin classes to many of my friends.
Variety and friendliness
You employ master John So for qi gong classes!:)
Love the pool & lots of classes. Wish you'd bring back STRONG at 6am Wed & Fri
Our swim coach (Coach Willie) was great with the babies. He was calm and encouraging and fun.
My kids have always enjoyed their swim lessons. Will be trying other sports soon.
