I was surprised by the range of programs available. I am specifically interested in water exercises due to having rheumatoid arthritis. I have found daily classes that are perfect for me. The instructors are welcoming and motivating and the classes challenging and fun. I have been attending Monday through Friday and have felt less pain and greater mobility since going to these classes. Also, all the people I have dealt with at the front desk have been kind, patient and helpful.
I will also be using the weight room and hope to take swimming lessons soon.

Child care is awesome. They know my kids names when we walk through the door. They are always so positive and helpful. Best YMCA childcare program we have ever used. My kids are excited to go there all the time.

The pool!
I just go for the pool. I swim laps and use the hot tub. And I love it! I also really appreciate the locker rooms.
I think your offerings are a really great value. This was my first time at a Y and I was very impressed with the quality of the facility. I would love more free weights, but I understand weight equipment is expensive.
I enjoy the North Austin YMCA because of the diverse programs, instructors, and participants. The facility attracts people of all races, ages, abilities, and socioeconomic backgrounds, making the building a true reflection of Austin and Central Texas. I also appreciate how the North Austin YMCA partners with local non-profits like Farmshare Austin to provide an opportunity to purchase affordable, fresh and healthy produce and groceries.

I mostly swim and the pool is really nice. I also like the lounge where people can work and study together.
Awesome pool, and friendly staff. I wish there were some classes between 1 and 5, for those of us that do not work 9-5 hours!
The North Austin YMCA is a fabulous facility that doesn't discrimination on age, race, or politics! Its overall design is modern, sleek, open, and engaging; featuring awesome dressing rooms [one for Men and another for Women, that include lockers, showers, scales, restrooms, hair-dryers, and a long-lighted vanity], a full-sized basketball court, a 25-meter lap pool, a smaller swimming pool, a sauna, state-of-the-art exercise equipment that encompass the entire 2nd-floor of the facility. Additionally, they offer a large number of classes including: water exercise, yoga [Vinyas, Hatha, Hatha Flow], spinning, weight-lifting, aerobics, cardio, Tai Chi, Mat Pilates, Zumba, Silver Sneakers, plus many more! The Membership Fees are reasonable, and low-income people are offered assistance. This is a safe environment: no smoking, drinking, drugs, profanity, bullying, or offensive behavior is tolerated! [Also, there is a child-care center!] This is a place that has something to offer to everyone.
