Sports for my lil ine
The ability to create a team with kids’ friends and coaches that they know. However, the program placed too many kids on my son’s basketball team this season which has led to reduced playing time for everyone.
The YMCA Staff have been absolutely amazing. I love how flexible they are with the teams if their practice run over in time. A few notables who go above and beyond weekly: Autumn, Marcus, Don, Lindsay, Cheryl, and DeMani.
Great gym.. the indoor pools are fantastic they’re your sports are great
I like that they have so many different programs to choose from.
The pools are always clean. The lifeguards are very competent especially Jessica and Randall.
The problem that I see is sometimes there arent enough lifeguards that show up on time nor are they scheduled which delays the entry into the pool to swim. This has been occurring more often over the last 2-3 months.
Lots of programs to choose from. Great selection of equipment and space for free weights. Clean and welcoming.

Dedicated, child friendly lessons
I’ve only visited once to play pickleball in the evening. I found the group very friendly, welcoming and organized. I thought the younger players were there to learn better skills and were extremely polite

The employees at the Schertz YMCA are friendly and professional. I play pickle ball twice a week and workout in the gym most days of the week. It has been easy to meet new people.

For me, it's very convenient as it's very close to where I live. I still haven't joined a class, but their equipment is great! And, the staff is super friendly and helpful.
Clean and plenty of space
It’s a great YMCA. There are wonderful people to meet and the instructors are kind and welcoming.
The daytime family swim program is a really wonderful offering. We are a homeschool family and my 7yo son loves the water, so the winter months can be long for him. When I found the family swim class at Schertz YMCA, I decided we would try it, and it has brought so much happiness, and my son is asking to go every day. From what I could tell online, this program appears to be only at the Schertz branch. Thank you!
I really love the pilates classes. Great instructors who all have unique styles. The facility and equipment are clean.

Enjoy convenient childcare, to accommodate pool and classes. Family really enjoys the events that facilitate community connections and outings in safe environment.
Family friendly activities. Homeschool programs, child care for different age groups. Longer hour availability for childcare
So much variety for all ages.
