Student Testimonials
Great energy and instructors
Loved Herb's energy, class was well paced and his modifications were very helpful. He was able to teach a diverse group really well with warmth and humor. Have enjoyed the Core Power program at three different studios, I recommend the brand to anyone interested in trying Hot Yoga.
The staff is very friendly, the flows are great, and the facility is clean.
I love the staff and I feel like I actually learn and improve when I attend core power.
Herb teaches the most extensive, engaging and hardcore classes. Highly recommend!
The instructor.
Love the variety of classes, the number of options throughout the day and the teachers! Everyone at the 71st and Broadway studio is a ray of sunshine and so helpful in and out of the studio room. I look forward to my classes each time and love how I feel completely recentered every time I leave the building. Thank you all!
Everything. The last class I took was so relaxing and challenging all at once. Great flow. My mind often wanders a lot in yoga, but not in this class. It wasn't just the same vinyasa flow you do in most yoga classes. And I loved that it was candlelit, gently heated, and with incense. Just a great sensory experience that felt like a huge stress relief.
Really great workouts and environment! Everyone is so friendly too
The instructors, especially Taylor and Lara. They are great teachers and so encouraging. I am still in level 1 classes but I tried a level 2 last week. It still felt too hard. I wish there was a 1.5 class.
Leah was an inspiring teacher!
My favorite yoga place! Always a great workout.
Excellent except for a few small things. Very few instructors give assists and if they do it’s often only to a few students. Almost no instructors use student names. Garrett and Lexie are the exceptions who do.
“A person's name is to that person the sweetest and most important sound in any language”.

I understand long time teachers are stuck in their ways, but can’t you just say to new teachers, use names and give assists?
At the end of the class I like the blinds to be lowered and I dislike lyrics during shavasana. I want my internal thoughts, no some words from a singer.
I love how all the instructors are really kind and motivating. They are extremely helpful during the classes and help you at your own pace. I have left every classroom feeling stronger and happier. Corepower has been one of the best things I have done not just for my physical health but for my mental health. It has given me a safe space.
Ease to buy classes and extensive schedule.
The instructors. Special shout out to Taylor and Lara. They are terrific
I love the instructors!
I love taking CorePower classes because they helped me feel stronger and healthier. I have always loved a challenge and every class gives me that. I love all of the instructors that I have had they are very upbeat and energetic and very supportive during the process of the class. It’s also so much fun and it brings just the right energy that I need in my mornings to start my day in the best way.
I like the studio and amenities. The reception is friendly and the instructors are great.
the best community!
UWS is always welcoming and a joyful experience! Adrianna's classes are the best. The cues given, the constant movement and challenges always brings me back for more!
It was a pleasure doing this class
I had such a great trial week exploring the different class options and times. The first month offer is very generous and I was able to continue my practice. They make it easy to switch to class pass for the school year (I’m a teacher) and give a teacher discount! The teachers are kind and knowledgeable and the community is welcoming.
The instructors are so caring and so capable especially Taylor and Lara.
I practice at CPY on the UWS pretty much daily and I love it. There is such variety in the instructors but at the same time it's comforting to more or less know what to expect when you come to class (a killer ab workout for one). I always leave feeling relaxed and recharged and the studio is gorgeous.
The things I would change:
- Sometimes the classes are super crowded and I think the experience might be improved by decreasing the cap a bit in the smaller studio
-There are a few folks on the roster who never change their flow or playlist. I tend to avoid these classes, since it gets really repetive
-People using phone in class
-Leaving before shavasana. I understand that this isn't a traditional yoga studio and that we're busy New Yorkers, but it always kills the vibe and feels disrepectful when people can't take the extra two minutes to wind down.
Loved the energy and the workouts are 100% worth it!

Julia teaches a strong, supportive, safe class and is so connected with her students!
It was welcoming and low barrier to access and enjoy the class. The teachers gave lots of options to modify and make the practice my own.

it’s a great place and the teachers are so nice especially the class I went to last week on Friday. Myra was excellent. The only thing I don’t like is I wish it had a separate male and female walker. I kind of feel uncomfortable having men change right next to me….
