Aqua Exercise

I'm one of those who get there for thr the daily opening. The other members in wait are friendly like the personnel inside. SInce I need knee replacements in both knees I skip the programs and activities. Still I generally do 6 1/2 miles using elliptical equipment and the indoor track. additionally I use the weights.

Kevin's Deep Aqua Class is my favorite.

I mostly take fitness classes. Zumba, Barre and yoga.

I liked the option of being able to use the outdoor pool this summer, even thought I only made it over once. s

Getting frustrated over our Saturday Zumba instructor. She's still fairly new. Between her vacations and the floor refinishing, she's taught maybe 4-5 classes since she started. Last week's class was also cancelled.

I understand it's very difficult to find experienced, quality instructors for what you pay them, (doubly so if you're asking them to give up their Saturday mornings) so I'm trying to be patient. But -- while she seems very sweet -- she doesn't appear to be taking steps to improve. The class lasts only 45 minutes because she hasn't learned enough songs to fill out the 55 minutes. She doesn't seem to understand basics like cuing, having the warm-up song warm up all body parts (and the best instructors also use the warm-up to 'practice' moves that will be used in that class's playlist), mixing up the play list from week to week (see above -- she has a limited number of songs she knows), etc.

Sigh. I'd hate for her to get all negative feedback and quit. At least it's something to bring me to the Y on Saturdays.

I like my instructors especially Allison Stewart.
I like the staff who know me by name and are extremely friendly.
I like the friends I have made and see daily.
I like pickle ball and how I have learned a new sport.
I like the fact that the Y accepts Silver Sneakers.
I like the cleanliness of the facility, thanks Nick and Aldi.

I only use the 'wellness center' re: free weights, weight machines, and aerobic equipment. All up-to-date fine equipment and not busy when I work out (5 to 10am weekdays or 7-9am weekends).

Your programs are very adequate.

This Y is very inviting and accessible to everyone.

Like the instructors, water classes, friendly folks.

Love to get coffee and chat with others.

Have enjoyed the Forever Well events.

Volunteer Marian Derr has organized some very fun luncheons and happy hours for Y folks to attend

Facility is bright and clean and aerobic equipment is well maintained. Staff and volunteers are friendly and helpful.

There is a wide selection of activities to choose. The facility is clean and well maintained.

I use the exercise machines upstairs mostly, and the Egym circuit trainers. Everything is well maintained, the staff are very helpful when needed, just a pleasant facility all around.

The outdoor poolwas great for my grandkids over the summer.
I get a good workout in Aquafit deep.
I'll let you know about the E Gym after my first session tomorrow.
I appreciate all the happy and friendly staff. They are very helpful. The facilities are so clean!

I especially enjoy yoga with either Karen or Barbie.
