The community environment. The diversity of age span. The friendliness of your workers.
You have so many variety of activities one can do, the employees are kind, it’s fun to see people..good energy, and I appreciate the free coffee too!
Excellent fitness class instructors
We generally only use the swimming facility and swim classes
I have used the health club for years. It's excellent! Also, the staff members are top drawer!
Group exercise and mind/body classes are great!
Professionalism, life-giving spirit, skilled instructors
Love the options for younger kids (toddlers) please add more!
Lap swim needs more time
Wide variety of programming at the Y. I especially enjoy the deep water aerobics and pickle ball. The fitness center is also very good.
Yoga! (adding a class on Tuesday would be great...)
warm pool swimming
Properly regulated and organized
I love the pools! I also like that the therapy pool area is warm and helps me to get my muscles warm before I do lap swimming.
I like that there’s always opportunities for families to swim together.
I like that there are plenty of personal changing rooms available
I like that there is a machine to ring out your bathing suit when done
The staff are very friendly and say hello and goodbye to you when you come into the pool area
They're good for the whole family. Lots of things for everyone.
Pool and gym
Amazing staff and facilities. Couldn’t ask for more!
Staff is very friendly and helpful; equipment is well maintained and operational; and support for both young and older members is outstanding.
YMCA offers many kinds of sporting activities
Good tennis
I love the Aqua fit classes. I usually work in the mornings so cannot make many classes. I would love an afternoon or evening opportunity. Before the pandemic, I went to Aqua fit 2 nights/week and loved it. We had great teachers, Janet and Mary, and had a real community.
The childcare is amazing! Our daughter is in the early twos class and love how it’s set up by age (early twos and late twos). The class sizes are smaller this way and more collaborative too. We look forward to our daughter having access to all the classes the ymca has to offer too during her day once she goes to preschool. The teachers and staff truly care about our child and communicate daily with us.
Our son loves all the morning activities (gymnastics, swimming, carpenters class). He goes to school in the afternoon and it’s wonderful they offer so many classes in the morning.
We haven’t been able to participate yet in the adult workout classes, but We’ve heard wonderful things about many of the classes. My only recommendation is having a few more early afternoon classes if possible (that’s the best time for me, but only a few classes offered at that time)
What an amazing community!! I grew up going to UMLY camps and now my children get to benefit from everything that is offered here!
The locker room is clean and well maintained. It is warm, a plus for these chilly days ahead.
The Family Pool is perfect for exercising or swimming - whatever your preference.
The staff is wonderful with our children!
They scheduled my daughters at the same time on Saturdays; as a busy parent I really appreciated that. It was great they separated the kids by 2 years, as opposed to dividing them up by three. Toddlers and preschoolers really need to be with kids close in their age developmentally. Coaches were super patient, encouraging and supportive. We will definitely be back next year.
We had a gret experience and appreciate the coaches and facilities very much. They were very good at keeping the kids engaged as well as teaching skills
The staffing facilities are great, the convenient location is perfect and it reminds me of my childhood, because I went here when I was a kid and now I bring my kids here
Pickleball program development.
The instructors in classes I’ve taken are clearly well qualified and engaging and the facility’s well maintained. I like the other members and the family feel of the place.
I mostly use the Y to swim laps. I also like the extensive tennis program and being able to get lessons. I do have a problem with the temperature of the pool water. The B pool is too cold for me to swim laps, the C pool is a little warmer but still too cold, and the family pool is too crowded and has very limited availability.

My family absolutely loves the Upper Mainline YMCA!! Aside from all the activities it has for both kids and adults, the positive energy and amazing staff makes it one of our favorite places to spend time! I love the workout area and my daughter enjoys dance and other activities for kids including the owls nest child care. Summer camp is awesome too! Thanks for all you do to keep the community healthy and happy!
