The members, the staff and the facilities in my view could hardly be better. The entire environments prove welcoming and conducing to my swims and gym workouts.
I have been wheelchair bound since 1967. Since then I have relied on swimming and gymming especially to help me stay as fit as I can. Thus UMLY, as well as the West Chester pool, have become unexpected blessings for me.
I should also mention that the children at the two Ys, along with their understanding parents, add an incredible amount of joy to my visits. Were I able to videotape their warm reactions to me and my power chair and wooden leg, for instance, they could form incredible tributes to the spirit of these YMCAS .

I joined the Y in March particularly because a friend had recommended the Deep Water Aerobics class. I have been attending Devon's class pretty regularly since then. First of all, she's a superb instructor. She explains movements clearly (very helpful for a newbie!), and enhances the class with her consistent enthusiasm, professionalism and humor. Second, I have noticed that my fitness level has increased as a result of this class. I'm breathing more deeply, have greater muscle tone, sleep better and generally feel better. Joining this class has greatly enhanced my life!
My primary use of the Y is the fitness center. It has everything that anyone would need to get/stay in shape.

I don’t participate in many programs. I am a swimmer. Love that we have outdoor pools available. Am also a tennis player. I am happy that upgrades (curtains and lighting) are happening on indoor courts.

I love the HIIT Aqua Class on Sundays taught by Janice Sloan, but even though I have complained that I never receive a request to evaluate her as I do with Rena Coyle, it never happens. So as this my only chance to do that, let me say that Janice co ducts a terrific class: high energy exercise, high motivation, great music and fun!!!
We had a wonderful time on Sunday at the outdoor pool. I went with 2 of my daughters, we found good lounge chairs, lots of space, water was clean & crisp!
Excellent customer support
I only use the gym. My membership is covered by my insurance. I feel better that I am exercising and staying active.

Instructors are great.
I wish there were more classes that are good for “seniors” who are still pretty strong.
Your Silver Sneakers” classes are not challenging enough for me, but many of the other classes are difficult/ is there an in between?

Kyle is the best tennis pro the Y has had in the past 13 years. His drills are fun and energetic and he provides meaningful feedback and instruction.
Group activities are great and there's a good variety. I love the kids programs and special events.
Best pickleball courts!
Just curious why was pickle ball allowed to resume play after the Canada smoke dissipated and the 50m pool opening was delayed for hours.
The Y has a wide variety of programs and classes. The instructors are friendly and knowledgeable.
